  1. Packers now have picks 22 & 28. They could realistically get two stud WRs out of: Chris Olave Jameson Williams Treylon Burks Garrett Wilson Drake London
  2. No way OBJ goes to a team without a QB or a chance at the postseason. He'll have suitors that are likely playoff bound, like Tennessee or Tampa. Or maybe whoever lands Watson, since they'll have no draft capital to get a WR any other way. Nobody will even consider Odell until after the draft.
  3. I think it's likely that Williams misses at least half of the season.
  4. The way I see it, this is a very rare year in that the draft is absolutely stacked at both WR & CB. We can get one of those positions at #25 that would be a much higher pick most years. And we can get one in the late 2nd round that might be a late first rounder other years. Both being positions of need for us, you just can't pass up that value. I'd love a trade up to get an extra 3rd rounder & can go RB & IOL there. If only Frazier had been hired as a HC, we'd already be able to do that...
  5. You can't count his pre-draft measurables anymore since he's torn his achilles, he may not be faster than any of those guys, who knows. Nobody returns to 100% of their prior athleticism, but that doesn't mean he still can't be good. Crabtree had some solid seasons after he tore his, though he wasn't as explosive as before it.
  6. We're pretty much forced to go either CB/WR or WR/CB in rounds 1-2. I like Hall, but I just can't see us taking a RB over either of those.
  7. Reggie White signed with Green Bay at age 32, people wondered if he was slowing down due to age. He took a team with a young superstar QB to the next level, eventually winning a Super Bowl. White had 68.5 sacks in his 6 seasons with the Packers. Von Miller is 32, situations seem awfully similar, just saying...
  8. Beane while TBD complained all day about the lack of moves:
  9. I don't think he has much left, but I'm sure somebody will sign him. He'll be OK for the 5-6 games he's healthy & active. I'd rather have Gabe than Julio at this point, and it's not even close.
  10. I saw Fromm playing for the Giants while game-surfing & decided to watch & see how he looked. He was as bad as any QB I've ever watched. He had no poise, happy feet, throwing off his back foot, missing horribly. I'll be shocked if he ends up on any team, that tape will make GMs run away.
  11. Foreman "ran" in the 4.4s back before he tore his achilles, highly unlikely he's close to that anymore. He did fill in well for Derrick Henry, but without the Titans run-heavy system, he's just an average backup RB in my opinion. $2M sounds about right.
  12. The Ertz situation involved a trade, and Philly was asking too much. At least Jones is just a dollar amount. I'm still somewhat confident.
  13. I'm starting to worry about Ford even being one the backup OGs, which he will be if we don't add 2 more IOLs from FA/draft. I don't see anything changing with him, regardless of who coaches him.
  14. Wow. Nobody else was gonna pay Zay more than $4M/year, I guess Jags gonna Jag.
  15. We still need to add another OG as a backup & a backup Center, maybe a guy in the draft who can do both. We can't count on Boettger for anything, he was replacement level at-best before the worst injury possible for a football player. If he makes it back, doubtful it'll be in 22'.
  16. Ragland did get us Hughes. Jack would be a distant memory if we had drafted him then.
  17. My wife just got me a framed version of this for my office. It's on canvas, but small (7" x7" or so), I don't think a large version would look as cool.
  18. I like Jerrick McKinnon, he looked really good for KC, but there's a 0% chance we're signing more than 1 FA RB.
  19. Nobody is gonna trade for Bradberry with that contract, he's likely to get cut as this is a cap-reset year for the Giants. Well, maybe the Rams would trade their 2030 1st rounder for him, if they even still have it.
  20. I like Jameson, but he isn't a lock to even play in 2022. Best case scenario would probably be him missing 10 or so games. Even if we draft him, we can't count an anything from him this year, he'd be a pick for the future. We'd definitely need to add a FA WR in addition to him, unless we keep both Beasley & McKenzie.
  21. I'd be OK with Hunt on a 1-2 year deal. Not exactly a process guy... but he's exactly the type of RB we need. We can't waste any more years of our window because we stay away from all players who aren't choir boys. Marcus Robinson, on the other hand, makes no sense. He does exactly what Gabe does, only he's 6 years older and would cost 10x as much.
  22. Don't forget, Edmunds is still only 17 years old. One of these years, he's really going to show us a whole new level...
  23. AP never tore his achilles. To date, the biggest post-achilles success story is D'Onta Foreman with 133 carries for 566 yards & 3 TDs in 2021. Here's the list of all NFL RBs from 2000-2020 who've torn their achilles, and how fast they were out of the league: Now we also have Cam Akers. He has not looked great, but I guess has the best chance to be the first to have a post-achilles career. I just wouldn't bet on anyone doing it.
  24. No to Marlon Mack. If he goes on to have NFL success post-achilles tear, he'll be first RB to do it in NFL history. Let somebody else gamble on that... I like the rest of those possibilities though, particularly Ogbah & Corbett.
  25. I like the McKinnon & Mostert suggestions, but they'll both be 30 before next season. Both have had major injury issues, yet haven't logged a whole lot of career touches. They'd have to come cheap considering those concerns, but I like it.
