Have you ever gotten into a fight over the Bills?
947 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I live near Chicago, and the Bills are playing at Bears next season. I'll definitely go, but stories like these, and things I've witnessed between Bears fans & opposing fans, I'm probably not gonna gear up in Bills stuff. I saw a nerdy Jags fan & his GF take some horrible abuse a couple years from a group of about 10 drunk guys, they were covered in beer & food & threatened. Security did nothing despite it going on for hours, and other fans cheered it on. I'd rather just watch the game than have to fight drunk losers & get kicked out, or have one of my teen sons get sucker punched by a 35 year old. -
I think Minshew would be a perfect fit in our offense, and while no threat to Josh, would be an immediate fan favorite. Philly got him for a conditional 6th, they just re-committed to Hurts for next year, so they may be willing to part with Minshew for a 4th or 5th. Ideally we'll be getting an extra 3rd if Frazier becomes a HC, so a 4th/5th becomes easier to part with.

Kelce is a WR. He lines up predominantly in the slot, and even out wide. He's not a TE, everyone just labels him as one.

Even if this was a valid idea, McKenzie out-snapped Beasley in the Pats game. He's way too involved in the offense & ST to play defensive snaps.

If you've seen Josh's 40 from the combine, it's clear he had no idea how to run a track sprint. His technique is awful & his arm movement is wacky. I doubt he trained with a running coach. But running as a QB is different. You have a ball in your hand so your arm movement is more natural, and you don't start from a stance. In that regard, Josh's speed is elite. I have no doubt he could greatly improve his 40 time by working with a track coach, but who cares about that now. Same reason you see elite sprinters in the league who aren't good football players except when they run a fly route.

I'd be surprised if Mayock was retained, his draft blunders are among the worst of the modern era. I'll be surprised if he ever works in a front office again. I used to love him as a TV Draft "guru", but he's been so bad it's tarnished his image.

Mills is probably a better prospect than Mac Jones at this point, I doubt Houston would even go for that. Some other team will give them the same picks the Pats would offer plus a player that's a clear upgrade somewhere for them.

31-30, good guys

This was something I noticed with TJ Watt last night. He repeatedly went inside to try and pressure Mahomes, allowing him to easily roll to his right & complete a pass for a big play. Early in the game, Watt was playing contain and the game was even. Then after Watt scored the TD, he started rushing inside the RT sometimes & Mahomes utterly destroyed them every time he did it. I don't know if that was by design, or just Watt trying to add sacks to his resume, but it certainly contributed to the butt-kicking.

I was harsh on Singletary for much of this year. I knew the run blocking was a major problem, but I thought Devin was too slow to be effective. Boy was I wrong, major props to him. The blocking scheme now complements his style perfectly. I love how he always squeezes out another yard or three when he's initially stopped.

2nd Half Thread Bills Vs. Patriots - Super Wildcard Weekend 2022

The lack of pass rush is concerning. Mac has way too much time when we rush 4, and they keep executing screens when we blitz. -

Kapernick holds the record with 264, he also has 2nd place with 243. Allen has the #6 spot with 145 in 2020.

Just a funny game: predict the score quarter by quarter

I just re-watched the 94' playoff game vs the Raiders, there were multiple missed XPs in that cold, and that was before the moved XPs back. I expect some of that today, hopefully not us. 7-3 10-9 17-9 27-15 -
Kyle Brandt Hype video to top gun...update...in stadium and fired up!

That was freaking awesome. As a child of the 80s, I knew all the lines from the movie & loved it. I'm guessing those who thought it was "meh" didn't grow up with the movie. -
Hopefully we can make Mac Jones look bad enough that Belicheat calls it quits soon after the game. McDaniels will be his successor, and he's a proven imbecile as a HC, so it should be fun for us.

Why would Flores want that job? He'll surely have other options. The organization will still be a complete mess for at least another 1-2 seasons. Nobody with options is taking the Texans' job on the off chance Watson is even cleared to play, let alone wants to stay. The next coach will be in the same position Culley was and will likely be gone in a year or 2.

Admittance to Highmark Stadium, No Drones allowed !

Not allowing batteries is likely so fans can't take them out & throw them onto the field. There's been a few incidents involving players getting with a battery when walking off the field, Cleveland was one of them. -
Fond memories: Huge hit by K. Schulz on H. Walker 1996

Henry Jones was right there with Walker & makes no impact on the play at all. Walker did push off a little, but I can't see that happening with our current safeties. -
This. I think it happened 3 times in the game, receiver reads the coverage one way on the option route, Josh reads it the other & the pass looks like it missed by 15 feet. I know at least one was to Diggs. It happened 2x in the Falcons game too. A couple of Josh's INTs this year are a direct result of this happening.

Steelers need to imitate the Bucs defensive gameplan from the super bowl. If they can pressure Mahomes & limit him, they could possibly squeak out a win. It'd probably still take a Pitt Defensive or ST TD to outscore them.

Bears and Dolphins request interview with Brian Daboll
947 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have Bears fans all around me, and so far they see Daboll as a promising option. The Bears job looks like a flaming turd on paper. They really have to trade Mack if they want to rebuild, though I don't know if he'd be worth a 1st rounder with that contract, unless they want the Rams next available 1st in 2030... But if they could shed that contract & end up with a 1st, the situation becomes a lot better. Depending on what he thinks of Fields, Daboll could bite. -
There's no guarantee that Trubisky would be any better than Wentz. The Bears did make the playoffs with Mitch, but not BECAUSE of him. What Wentz did in 2017 blows away anything Trubisky has ever done, he would've been MVP if not for the injury. I know Wentz is not the same player anymore, but it least he once was that player. In Chicago, Trubisky was not a complete QB. He had issues reading coverages, and Nagy was using half-field reads at times to make it easier. I think Mitch will be better after his time with Daboll & Josh, but I can't see him going anywhere next year & being a top-15 QB. I think he's great as a backup, but I doubt any coach/GM is going to tie their job security solely to him.
