  1. I live in the Chicago area, people are pissed & talking about getting rid of their tickets. I pay zero attention to the Bears, but I admit I've been amused by all the Dalton memes going around.
  2. Patterson is still a decent returner, but I hope we don't still use a roster spot on a return specialist-only. He's always been bad as a WR, he's honestly worse than Roberts in that regard.
  3. No FAs will go there at this point, unless they overpay. It makes me smile.
  4. Titans attempted 485 passes last year (bottom 3rd of the league), Bills attempted 596 (3rd in the league). I'd have to assume he'd have more opportunity with us.
  5. The Chiefs were able to significantly slow the WR-centric aspect of our offense down with physical & illegal play. The blueprint is out, and we can expect to see more of that in 2021. A competent receiving TE is a need if we want to keep the offense rolling.
  6. I think paying for a RB is a bad idea, unless it's the final piece of the SB puzzle. In our case, that money would be better spent on the DL. Much easier to draft a RB who can contribute on Day 1 than it is for a D-Lineman.
  7. I don't see any way they cut Hughes. He is a team leader & still a very good player. He's a guy we need to find a complement to, not replace. Not happening.
  8. JuJu is a Slot WR, he played 82% of his snaps there last year. He's not an outside downfield WR like Brown, which is what we'd need. Beasley is one of the best slot WRs in the NFL, we're set there. I highly doubt JuJu's name has even crossed Beane's mind.
  9. Agreed. Achilles recovery is much better now than it used to be (Marino barely being able to move in the pocket after his comes to mind), but guys are never 100% the same after that injury. That said, I'd be on-board with Kwon.
  10. AJ was around 280lbs when drafted, but he wasn't a super lean 280 so it wasn't like he only dropped good weight. He got lean, but did lose some some muscle & strength along with it. This year, I'd expect to see him add another 10lbs of muscle back on, but still be lean. I think we'll see him at 265ish with regained strength & still have the increased explosiveness we saw in year 1.
  11. I would not be at all surprised if Hughes gets 10 sacks in 2021, if we add a competent DE across from him and a 1T DT. It'd also help if McD ditched the ridiculous DL rotation & let the best players get the majority of snaps. I think only playing roughly 55% of snaps the past few years has had more of an effect on Jerry's sack totals than eroding skills has.
  12. If this was 2015-2019, I'd be all over trading for him. But Ertz is not that player anymore. I'd be OK with signing him on the cheap once released though.
  13. Connor is a turd at this point in his career. He had a good year or 2 when Pitt's OL was elite, but he was awful last year. He doesn't bring anything we don't already have at RB & will cost more than a rookie.
  14. Morse has trade value, half the teams in the league need an upgrade Center. Even if they decide to move on, they won't cut him if he could net a 3rd or 4th round pick. I'd only part with him if they absolutely need the cap space to shore up the DL, and retain Mongo.
  15. Ford stays at OG. Mongo would move to Center after Morse trade.
  16. OJ Howard absolutely IS injury prone, he's never finished a season. He's played in 42 of 64 possible games, and take away the 4 he got hurt in- only finished 38 out of 64 games. That said, he is a very talented TE & I'd be in on him at the right price. The Bucs absolutely have to cut/trade either Brate or Howard. They can part with either with $0 in dead cap, but Howard would have to be before the March 17th deadline. So this could happen real soon.
  17. The reality is that Smith was only starting because Kyle Allen got hurt, WFT was in desperation mode to keep their playoff hopes alive in a ridiculous year where their entire division was bad. Alex Smith was not going to beat out Heinicke or Kyle Allen, otherwise he'd still be there. Great comeback story, but he just isn't very good anymore. The only way I see him finding a team next year, is if the team drafts one of the more raw rookies (Fields/Lance) and want him to mentor. Nobody is signing him to start.
  18. I'm now willing to reconsider Mitch Trubisky as a backup...
  19. Green Bay is 5+ hours from Chicago too. I live in the Chi area & driven to GB.
  20. On almost half the plays in his highlight reel, he's completely unblocked. Looks like a player, but how are opposing defenses just leaving him alone? His TFL & Sack totals look to be inflated by that.
  21. There was a story about Milano a year ago saying he doesn't care about money, he only wears plain white t-shirts & has almost no furniture in his home, minimalist everything, etc. Now after another injury-plagued year, he wants to be one of the higher paid LBs or bust? This could just be his agent talking.
  22. I think they drafted Fromm to be the long-term backup. If we can save $2M or more by moving on from Barkley, the money can be better spent elsewhere.
  23. He was 216lbs at the Senior Bowl. I'm guessing he's a fit for "Big Nickel".
  24. The guy supposedly declined to weigh-in at the Senior Bowl because he weighs 162. If true, that's at least 20lbs underweight. If he's been unable to add weight in 4 years at the best program in college football, he's definitely gonna struggle to do it in the NFL. Assuming he does a Maybin & bulks up for the combine, his speed & agility will definitely be affected, and that's what got where he is. I'd definitely take Chase or Waddle over him, they're much closer to sure things.
  25. I was still in High School, I had a job at Service Merchandise & was so pissed that I was scheduled to work that day. The good news was that I worked in the electronics department, and there were about 20 TVs with the game on. I was able to see the majority of the game, and once the comeback started, I had to start moving around the department feigning work so I could follow along on various TVs. It was hard to do, but a memorable charade.
