Look I hate the Chiefs as much as anyone, but lets be real here. No one was even injured in Rice's accident. It's illogical and unreasonable to say "almost killed people" or "damn near killed people". If that applies then you can say the same about every one of us who goes 1mph over the speed limit. It isnt up to the NFL to be judge, jury, and executioner on things that occur outside of football. They get to do it a little more because their business is based on public image/interest, and these players make a lot of money in a high profile position, but none of our employers would be able to punish any of us over a car accident either (not counting CDLs). They WOULD however punish/suspend/fire us if we were cheating within the business. PEDs, gambling, etc directly affect the NFL and their bottom line. Off-field stuff typically doesnt. It's that simple. Jurisdiction. The REAL courts already sentenced him to 30 days in jail, 5 years probation, and $1M in settlements. There is your justice.

Poyer is on the practice squad. Players on the practice squad are generally only on the field if all of the better athletes are unavailable. Cam Lewis was also only on the field when the better athletes were unable to go. Ditto AJ Klein - he only saw the field when the LBs ahead of him were injured. Who exactly are these available better athletes at the position he was playing, that he kept off the field? Levi Wallace was a starter, so you got me there. But I'm curious as to the identity of the superior athletes you feel he was played ahead of. Dean Marlowe? Jaquan Johnson? Siran Neal? Who are these proven veterans, better than Poyer, who are lining up to sign to our practice squad?

I'm with the folks who don't get the negativity. The naysayers tell us that Poyer is "washed." Yet, Poyer played 90.6% of the defensive snaps with the Fins last season. Apparently, as bad as he might have been, he was better than their other safeties. PFF ranked Poyer 97th of 171 safeties who played enough snaps to qualify. In other words, of the safeties who suited up and played, Poyer was roughly average. In short, he's not godawful horrible. Plus, he was signed to the practice squad. Assuming no catastrophic injuries to our safeties, he's not going to see the game field very much. Instead, his teammates will see him on the practice field, in meeting rooms, and in the locker room where he will be a positive addition. Especially because he's a true believer in The Process, knows McD's system inside out, and has more NFL experience than our top four safeties combined.

Hmm... this is our second year coming to Fiji and to be honest, I've never been warned or heard about any dangerous spiders. Bill Simmons, who always picks against the Bills, put Allen ahead of Mahomes this year. if the Bills and Allen were going for their 5th SB and lost 1 game all year, would we allow anyone to say Allen wasn’t the best qb even if his stats weren’t as good? Absolutely. There have been times when the offense could have played better in the playoffs but it's the defense that is mostly to blame. To me 13 seconds won't go away until the Bills at least get to a Super Bowl with a chance to win it.
