The real question is...how many snaps for Grant DuBose?
-
He's one of those guys that you can always tell when it's him. There's others. Stewart Copeland is like that for his work on the rides and that muted snare rim, super distinctive, plus he's hilarious. Also Bill Bruford - always loved his little quip about his time with the Crims. Surprised nobody's touched on Tomas Haake for a band with almost no melody being as famous as they have become strictly on the death throes twitching of fractal time signatures that are complicated for complication's sake. Ginger Baker is kind of doing his own thing no matter what band. In the Share thread I put In My Time Of Dying which is a cover mainly arranged by Bonham using his drums to indicate the entry points for bass, guitar and vox. Almost everyone from Birmingham hit the drums like they owed them money. Bev Bevan was a monster too. Speaking of the Birm gonna use a moment here to recognize Bill Ward. So underrated. Going back and listening to the Sabbath catalog (can't escape since Ozzy went), he was driving the whole wagon. Iommi's bootful-of-sludge riffs are the molten lead being poured from the parapet, but everything interesting in those Elite Eight albums is going on underneath between Geezer and mainly Ward. He was amazingly musical, while being able to match anyone power-for-power too.

K, I'm still up in the air about Bishop, but that was a f*** up of a call. Worst case scenario it should have been incomplete. Imo it should have been a pick.
-
The only problem with this is that we draft a guy who is like James Cook. Plays 2 downs but not who we want when it matters on 3rd. We have tied a lot of investments up in halfway players. Albeit they're extremely good; Cook, Rosseau, Kincaid, Diggs. However, we need full players. The hack was the curly fries and go across the street and get a Wendy's frosty.

You do understand that you are the only person on earth that has Brown as top 5 at the position, right? Either way, 1 great pick in 8 seasons and if you want to claim to be right, you have 2. Mind you, if he was so great as a talent evaluator, you might expect more than 1 in 25 on picks in the 1st 3 rounds.

I agree about Davis. In addition to the slow feet he also lacks proper vision and struggles to find holes at times. But I think your trade idea is pie in the sky at best. Right now, Washington is rumored to be in the "RB sellers" market. They are rumored to be moving on from Brian Robinson as they like their other 3 backs in Chris Rodriguez, Austin Eckler and rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt a whole lot. I don't see them bringing another back into the room. And I don't see anyone trading for an oft injured WR at Samuel's price tag. McLaurin may be on the move...but keep an eye on the Saints, Jets or Vikings for his services IMO. -
Yes. I like going there on occasion. Food can be decent but not always and it’s a bit on the fun side. I guess that’s why they’ve got north of 650 outlets. What do you buy yourself by sh*tting on it?
-
Don’t you know the legacy of Beane? They will all be in the NFL longer than anyone signed/drafted by any other GM.
-
I’m convinced Cracker Barrell is - like every rug store in the country - a money laundering front. Has anyone ever gone into, or seen anyone else go into, either one of those establishments? Oh, and the faux outrage on this one is - like all the rest - silly and weak. ❄️

The list of old vets and new vets are basically the same caliber of player outside of Bosa. Which is the whole point. Do I expect a wildly upgraded CB pairing if Tre White starts in Rasul Douglas’ position? I don’t. Ditto for basically everyone on that list. which is why the improvement is going to have to come from the rookies.
-
And I'll say the same thing I say every season. Without McBeane the Buffalo Bills run the very real risk of becoming the Buffalo Sabres under Terry Pegula.

If Samuel was a FA, nobody would offer him close to his current contract. He literally has negative trade value. Packaging him with a 26 year old 3rd string RB is straight out of Madden. -
Looking back -- Davante Adams vs Amari Cooper
BillsFanForever19 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's been anonymous source scuttlebutt that he's "done". Implications that he's checked out. Which would explain why we didn't look to bring him back and why he's still on the street. -
It’s won’t be much better

I think you're arguing something different than what I mean. I'm not saying that we shouldn't get or target better wide receivers. Nor am I saying that Beane has done enough there. I'm saying there's a lot of moving parts and part of what holds us back against KC/making it to the SB is that we keep having to go back to the well. I will say, that for me, our constant misses/redrafts are a bigger concern for me than myopically looking at the offense or defense. But missing on defense seems to be enemy number one. We've devoted a lot more resources there to make up for it. But because we have the QB, we can help cover that up. I think that's similar to KC in that they've hit on defense much better than we have but been abysmal at drafting for offensive skill positions high. Mahomes gas covered that up. Yes the have taken more swings and that's ok. I would probably advicate for Beane to do the same...but alas he botches the defensive picks and leans into Allen to close the gap. I don't love our defensive drafts/FA as of late. I wish we spent more draft capital on offense. But imagine this team if they didn't redraft some of those defensive players? Defense is already holding this team back. We'd have lost to Baltimore on the road in the WC,rather than KC in the AFCCG. Regarding Allen's deal, he's played 7 seasons. 4 of which were a rookie deal and one is his 5th year option. He's had a couple seasons as a top 5/10 cap hit QB. And those are the years we should be spending less on WR. That doesn't mean we've done enough each and every year either. I don't disagree with this at all. I will say that I get what this regime is trying to do. But they've failed in execution. All these resources for TE's and we don't really utilize them at a high level. Constantly chasing receiving backs but we almost never throw the ball to them with frequency. Or dress them in TJ Yeldons case. It is very strange.

I said the same thing I will say every season McDermott is coach - this team will never win the Super Bowl with him in charge.
-
I have this sneaky feeling Josh will play one series with the starters We shall see
-
He had a 5-6 game stretch there where he was absolutely lights out. I would have to play with the way back machine but I believe he had a fairly average targets per game but like a top (bottom?) 5 Passer Rating when targeted. Ie. He wasn't being carried by a low number of targets that were unfairling weighing his production.

I’m not a huge Ray Davis guy. He has slow feet IMO. He looks like Zack Moss to me. Also, he has roughly the same amount of touches as Cook through college and the NFL (which is wild). He seems like a great dude but I’m certainly not upset hearing his name in trade rumors. Samuel, Davis and a 2nd for McLaurin will be my prediction. It could just be something like Davis for a late round pick but him being traded is my bold prediction. -

Damn this would be the 2nd year in a row they lost their 1st rounder to a knee injury, if it's as serious as it looked. -

I watch a lot of UB football. I went there for grad school and my dad has always been a big booster (love coming home to free, close parking and box seats haha). I digress. Dolan is a better LB than Buffalo Joe but not by much. He’s better in coverage, where I think Buffalo Joe is a little more instinctive in run fits. Buffalo Joe, Dolan, and Jimmy Cialo (?) are the same type of player. You can only have so many of these guys on your team. There’s a reason he went undrafted just like Joe and Jimmy. I hope he does great in Dallas. I wouldn’t have had a problem throwing a 7th round pick on him but the only reason you are hearing so much about it is the content bros are all up in arms because they wanted the story and narrative. I love Pat Moran but that guy has his head so far up Dolacs ass when Dolac burps it sounds like Pat’s voice. Nate Geary has also been on that rant but no one takes that clown seriously. Maybe he sticks, maybe he doesn’t, but back up linebackers who play special teams are a dime a dozen. -
Our defense definitely won’t be worse than last season so I don’t know what the hell you are talking about.

They are just making sure every existing season ticket holder gets called before they start on the waiting list. Now you can't say they didn't ask you. -
Sounds like a character from an Adam Sandler movie.
