zow2 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Well, i thought we would steamroll the Bengals and then have a great win over New England. We didn’t exactly win as i thought, but any W is great today. I do think the Bills take out the Pats. McDermott is so good in these regular season revenge games. Quote

They pointed out Vrabel is undefeated coming out of the bye as a HC. Need to put an end to that. Yeah, well even if they lose they likely win the division as well. We would need the Dolphins to upset them in New England or the Jets to beat em. It's probably not happening. Just win and control what we can at this point. Quote

The line I hear is that the team is ahead of schedule with their franchise QB, organizational alignment, a very good coach, and a ton of cap space. Their future is bright. 1 Quote
sven233 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Honestly, as weird as it sounds, I don't care much about the division. Sure, you are guaranteed a home game, but we have won the division all these years in a row and it has really gotten us nothing in the end. This year, it's about getting in the tournament and seeing how far Allen can take a pretty average/bad supporting cast. And, if we have to go on the road to do it, so be it. I'll take Allen over any other QB we will face and just hope that the rest of our team can make enough plays on both sides of the ball to win every game. That said......I want to absolutely eviscerate the Pats* next week. They got us the first time in large part because of our own stupid mistakes and game plan and the rest of the season they have been getting fat on tin cans...... The glazing on that team has gotten out of control and I want to be the ones to give them a reality check. Sure, even if we win, they will probably still win the division. Fine, because if we do beat them, and especially if we beat them handily, they will know what's up coming down the stretch. I mean, we're still really banged up and it's going to be hard for us to win any game against any opponent, but I hope this team has a bad taste in their mouth from the last meeting and go up there to send a message regardless of how the rest of the season plays out. But in the end, how much does this game matter? I don't know. Because even if we lose to them next week, am I going to fear them if we play them in the Playoffs? Not really. What today's game did for us, and some of the other games around the league, is take some of the pressure off. We probably get in with 1 more win. What these last few games are to me is all about getting as healthy as possible coming down the stretch and heading into to the Playoffs. In a way, a loss next week makes it easier to sit all of our injured guys to get them as much rest as possible. Palmer doesn't have to come back. You can sit Bosa until the Playoffs. You can give Kincaid time off to get back to 100%. If we would have lost today, things would have looked a lot different. But we found a way and it maybe gives us a few more options no matter if we win or lose next week. Regardless, the plans heading into the Playoffs become a lot more clear when next week's game is over. Edited 16 hours ago by sven233 1 Quote

Would i "like" to? Of course. But realistically: Its the #1 seed & everyone else 🤷♂️ ive come to terms with that. 2nd or 7th is 90% the same to me. Actually if those are the choices, during this season, gimme the lowest seed. We need the best draft infusion possible. Im firmly in category that were pretenders with how overly 1-D we are. However, if weve figured out how to move the ball through the air with TE's and RB's, I think we'd be a serious threat again. Either way id prefer we pick a direction and g2 it. We learn ways to move ball through air without WRs 🤷♂️ GREAT! Go be the best at it! Go on a run. If that disappears again, id prefer for our medium to long term future, we stall out and miss the playoff. 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Even if the division is to far gone, it’d still be really nice to beat NE. Especially in their place. Let them know we’re coming 1 Quote

BigDingus Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago The only reason I care about winning the division is that it guarantees a home game or two. And this team really needs the home game, as we've never won a single playoff game on the road with McDermott & Allen. Quote

billsfan89 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago The Bills did what they needed to do against the Bengals Josh was Superman and the defense made clutch plays. The Bills were down Bosa, Palmer, and a few other key players who will hopefully be available for the Pats game. We all knew once the Pats got on a big winning streak and the Remaining games were soft the Bills were at a minimum were going to have to win this game. It is what it is Go Bills. Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago If we win out, the Pats can’t clinch the division until Miami in Week 18. And, the Ravens game doesn’t matter then either. We need them to lose to either the Jets or Miami to be able to win the division. Quote
BananaB Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Don’t they have 4 games left and one of them against us? There is only a 2 game divide right now Quote

djp14150 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago For bills to win the division. 1 beat NE next week 2 bills beat jets and NE lose to either jets or fins. pats lose to ravens doesn’t matter other than it givens bills flexibility to lose to eagles. tie breaker 1 head to head. pats W on Sunday they clinch division tiebreaker 2 division record right now NE is 3-0 vs bills 2-2, pats need two div loses, one to Buffalo and one to jets or Phil’s. tiebreaker 3 is common games looking at 3 noncommon games Pats are 2-1vs bills 1-1 with eagles coming up. Bills beat eagles they are tied. If pats lose to ravens, bills can lose to eagles, thrn bills in a tie would have the better common game record, mif they beat eagles it’s tied. tiebreaker 4 is conference record right now pats are 5-0 vs NFC, bills are 3-1 with eagles game, bills will clinch thus if tied. 1 Quote
