so many opportunities to get them off the field on third down and we let them throw underneath the soft coverage over and over again  At least force a accurate downfield pass to even be attempted

I said before the game this is what McDs D would do. Back off and give them everything underneath. Predicted a 6 to 8 minute TD drive. Nothing changes in Buffalo. That’s been the way every game we played played against Bengals the past 3 or 4 years

Whelp....  we did everything the opposite of what I was asking to do all week and they walked right down the field.  McDermott will never learn.

 

I've seen enough of Tre White in this game.  He can stay on the bench.

Soft zone on 3rd & long, with no blitz = first down for every decent NFL QB.   Somehow McDermott has never figured this out.
