Blazman11 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No, it’s not. It was in 2018-2022. Now it’s too stressful as the clock keeps ticking on the Josh Allen fairytale. One thing I cannot stand about football is coaches and front office people would like you to believe football is like splitting the atom. When it’s a very simple game. I’m still mystified that our WR core was deemed acceptable coming into this year when if anyone knows it should’ve been people who are employed to understand the rate of turnovers in 2024 was not sustainable and largely responsible for the 30 pts a game. Remember when teams were terrified of blitzing Allen? Or stacking the box? I don’t think Allen threw a pass over 10 air yards outside of the INT and the Hook n Ladder play. Nobody is afraid of our CFL level of WR nor should they be. At least during the drought I only had to get made one day in April when they refused to draft a QB. 3 Quote
Maynard Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago With this current loss I’ve actually become quite numb. I already know this team has zero talent. Other than Allen and Cook, there’s not really another player I’d be sad if we lost and that’s very disappointing. We’ve put ourselves into a huge hole that won’t be escapable for years. Sadly, the front office that did this to us won’t be changed. In other words, my hope is gone. I guess that makes it easier to deal with? Not sure. Quote
Psautcsk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) It was fun for me when the Pats were far away in the rearview. Now we are the object in the mirror but not appearing close. Edited 1 hour ago by Psautcsk Quote
frostbitmic Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No, I can't say that watching the team sleepwalk through so many games this season as being fun. All 4 losses plus the Saints game were poorly prepared teams that were not fun to watch. I hate to admit it but as much as I yell at Brady thru my TV for his awful play calling, I laugh at the pitiful display of tackling and watching the McDefense get run over year in and year out or try to stop a 3rd and long pass also year in and year out. I'm also to the point of laughing at all of the penalties this undisciplined squad has thrown on them on a weekly basis. Quote

Been saying it since Atlanta.. the team is just not special this year. Nothing about it...sadly I have to include Allen in this. I mean to put it bluntly, we are the LA Chargers now. Just another team in the AFC who you think is OK, but really not special in any way and will fizzle. The ceiling is likely a first round playoff loss. The floor is missing the playoffs by a game. Inigo Montoya Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Beane and McDermott have finally lost me. McDermott is a defensive coach who can not build a defense that can win in the playoffs, even with all the draft and free agent capital going to that side of the ball. And it's not like the defense needs to strangle anyone, the offense typically scores 30 points, Josh plays his best in the playoffs. Josh can not will this team to a championship no matter how great he is, and I think he is the most complete QB in NFL history. He needs more help. I think Beane and McDermott are both great people, and I wish them the best, but I don't think they can build a team around Josh that can win a SB. Edited 1 hour ago by Inigo Montoya 1 Quote
mjt328 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nope. I've barely enjoyed anything involving this football team over the last 3 years. Even our wins seem pointless and meaningless, because AT BEST they are just part of the same routine... getting us back to the same place we are every January, and the inevitable postseason collapse. After 35+ years of watching this sport, I know that I'm only watching for one reason. Hoping that we can someday win the Super Bowl. And deep inside, no matter how well we play on a given week, I know that it's never going to happen. After last night, I'm seriously considering packing it in. This team has no prayer of going anywhere. Which means what is our best option for representing the AFC? The Chiefs going back for a 4th time in a row, finally wiping out the only accomplishment this pathetic franchise was ever able to claim? The resurrected Patriots showing they can lose Tom Brady, rebuild and go to the big game before we can with Josh Allen? The Ravens and their insufferable fans? How about a team featuring Daniel Jones at QB? 1 1 Quote

Maybe it’s the impending doom feeling that we have a unicorn QB and still find a way to mess it up. Its the whole history of the team, the coach, the GM… When they win, I feel relieved. When they lose, I feel devastated. Any tips? What do you all do to disengage and try to actually enjoy this? The Tampa Bay game was the first time all season that I was actually happy watching it. The rest has been a struggle for me. I disengage and reset after the game. Let it go. Quote

Aging, undersized defenders who can’t tackle, get pushed around and constantly get hurt. It’s painful. McDermott usually finds a way to duct tape it together long enough to give the offense a chance, but it’s no way to win a championship. It's remarkable that Beane has managed to assemble an undersized AND slow defense. Masterclass by BBB. 1 Quote

Not only is it stressful as the clock keeps ticking but post 2022 the Bills have evolved into playing some very ugly, uninspired football. It just feels like the team has regressed in so many ways even though we still win a decent amount of games. It was so much fun to watch in 2019-2022 Quote

MJS Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago That game was frustrating to watch, but others have been really enjoyable. Quote

BananaB Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago I’m sick of watching the same thing with the same results year after year. The problems with this team are not getting fixed. 1 Quote

I think Beane and McDermott are both great people, and I wish them the best, but I don't think they can build a team around Josh that can win a SB. On the way to the Lombardi, the Bills Season can be summed up in 2 words- ASS & GLASS! Beanbrain’s tragic decision to stack the box with Draft Picks- and by no means competently, left us with these spare parts as WRs 4-6. #28 Shakir, helped greatly with 40 on the desperation hook and ladder. #79 Keon Benchedman. #96 Josh, 18 catches in 8 games, Palmer. Paying him $11 ***** million in 2026 for that performance! #207 9 catches in 9 games- Moore! #239 SEVEN CATCHES IN SIX GAMES @ $9 Mill- Samuel! NOBODY SEPARATES, NOBODY CATCHES, NOBODY EATS! And for whatever reason, all manner of Bills get injured- on the field, in practice, after 3 plays. And just remember, as this once in a generation, soft sked slips away, next year, it’s the AFC- W & NFC- N, plus other top singles from AFC- S. etc. In addition… *Has the D EVER been a Houston level type under McClapper? Hell no.Can’t tackle, can’t cover, can’t blitz! * And with few exceptions, Beanie has whiffed again and again in the Draft and his used parts plans in FA! His one disastrous WR pick is a no talent malcontent, to ignorant to show up for practice! * NOBODY would say… that’s a Top 5 OC… as evidenced by 2 critical calls to Cook AFTER he dashed for 24 yards! And there are other curious little things.Dawkins (who I really like) appeared under close scrutiny to stop… literally after the first 3 seconds and not help out his scrambling for his life- superstar QB! Somebody needs to ask why. Penalty? Ability? It’s all becoming a terribly disappointing tire fire! Mgt. heads should go, so that more competent persons can make proper evaluations and replacements for 2026/7/8. The sands are running down in the Unicorn’s hourglass! Quote
