Game week thread - Bills at Texans TNF

Not worried about Hardman and Kincaid, but curious to see what Samuel not helping keep the safeties honest does to the offense.  From everything I've read, that made a solid impact last week.

We’ve been running that quick outside screen to Shakir so much that I have to believe Brady is setting something up for later in the season/playoffs.

Maybe they use Shavers to stretch the field. 4.38 forty.

Agree - id also add that Brady (and Josh), should've learned to make some adjustments based on recent experience.

 

Against NE: similar talented group of corners outside, but not quite the pass rush

 

Against Houston LY

 

Learn from those mistakes -- both Brady and Josh have demonstrated this - against the likes of Ravens, Chiefs, others in the past.

this is a worthy stat to consider. The Bills Dub won't be a gimme. What gives me some solace is those points they gave up haven't been against a QB like Josh Allen. He is a unicorn at his position.  Its obvious he can take over games. So I really hope we DUB . And I'm calling for special teams to break one all the way.

I think Keon sits another week and Moore gets in there for Samuel. 

 

Keon is just hurting Josh's progressions.  He's not available off the snap and there's going to be no time against Houston to mess around.  If Keon does happen to play, I think he gets fewer than 10 snaps.  My predictions for WR's this week:

 

Shakir

Palmer

Shavers

Gabe

Moore

After doing my research (i have a doctorate in YouTube studies) this game is going to be a lot more difficult than i initially thought. I had no clue their defense is not just really good, but elite. Best in the NFL. That’s going to give Allen and the running game some headaches for sure. 

 

Coming off 2 straight wins, Mills has the offense humming nicely. Not eye popping numbers, but efficient and protects the ball. They’ve got some fantastic receivers as well. Weird that Stroud is out this long for a concussion. He must’ve really been clocked

I would surmise that Samuel hurt both his neck and elbow when he bobbled that one ball way up in the air (neck), and then fell down to catch the rebound (elbow).

Given the way many are ball-washing the Houston defense, I fully expect the Bills to put up 400+ and 30+ tomorrow night.

I want to see more of Tyrell Shavers. I was watching his interview with Kay Adams to learn that he leads the NFL in average separation (6 ft.) based on 1 or 2 games. Just another note besides the uptick by Bishop and Max's early success. Deone Walker is currently 6th in the last odds I saw for DROY.

He pulled his hamstring which is a minimum 2 week injury. I dont know why you were expecting this. As far as I know he hasn't had muscle inuries before. So this is much more aberrational.

There are stats and 6 TDs. But if you look closely, he did have 2 INTs and one really bone-headed. There were a number of passes he outright missed. On top of that, there were many instances, especially at the start of the game where he mis-directed protection that led to defensive guys rushing scotch free at him.

 

I don't know this is even one of his top 10, 15 games of his career. And overall in NFL, will that game be one of the best 100 games by an NFL QB? I certainly think he can play better. To me, his bar is that NE play-off game. And there is a big gap between this game  and that game.
