There is a very speculative but highly believed rumor that Daboll tried to take McDermott’s job after 13 seconds. Literally petitioned Pegula.

He is not coming back (though I wish he was).

in hindsight it would’ve been the lesser of two evils

They don't pedal into town they get hired from within.

That’s the point, I don’t care if they’re pedaling in  from East Aurora or Kalamazoo. Hire someone who knows wtf they’re doing !

There's zero world where I think dabol would have this team clicking more than McDermott the last x amount of years since he left

He literally couldn't get anything out of Daniel Jones and basically just ran Jackson dart into multiple concussions

he had an affinity for stupid play calls at the wrong time also... Not saying he's not better than Brady because he is

But he had a lot of issues with his offense including all the people around the NFL saying we could not win a Super bowl with his design running game

He also was a hot head who Would scream into Josh Allen's face and get him more riled up... Which is not the answer

Coaches should never get too high or low they need to be consistent Especially in 2025.. isn't 1980s bills parcells who is a mucbetterer leader than daboll anyways

It's on the players the leaders of the team to hold other players accountable... Like I said Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would chew into players.. much more than you would see Bill belichick yell at Tom Brady

If anything Tom Brady was yelling at Bill belichick...

Players hold other players accountable and if you're the best in the world you should be able to hold your coach accountable for a bad game plan

But screaming in the face of your franchise quarterback in the middle of a game is not the way but that's daboll

The Bills are 2nd in team offense ...

Not sure why anyone thinks Daboll would do a better job given the offensive weapons Beane has assembled.

If you don't believe Beane has delivered the proper offensive personnel, then 2nd on offense is a minor miracle. Would Daboll have prevented the 8 sacks

Josh took ? The D is definitely in worse shape than Brady's O.

It must be a miracle …because they certainly don’t look like the second best O to me …regardless of what some stats may say ..

Teams play different schedules …it’s not a like for like comparison across the league …

@Rochesterfan instead of Europe and Xs. How about you talk. Was babitch and Brady Not hired from within?  It makes me think they'll do the same. What do you think?  I'm asking sincerely. I've got like 2 or 3 emojis from you today. We can talk ya know. Doesn't have to be arguing.

Bills are 7-4 now not 4-7....The eye test says its not a very good 7-4 nevertheless..There is no way at week 13 or 15 that they will make coaching changes...Thats the reality of it now....If they make any changes it will come when the season ends IMO....Its too early for McD to start releasing the "scapegoats" at this point in the season.

Why is this still a thing?  McD and Bills have adamantly shut this down - not that anyone needed them too, everyone and their mom knows they don't get along.  Might as well speculate the tooth fairy is going to join the coaching staff too as they have about the same odds.

I get what you are saying and mostly agree. However, it is hard to image Daboll calling those stupid screens to Shakir over and over again -- or that ridiculous 4th and 1 play to Cook deep in the backfield. Just a couple of different plays in a game like Thursday's could have made the difference between a L and a W.

Did anyone happen to notice the mess Daboll just left in New Jersey?  The guy’s a certified lunatic.  No thanks.  I’d rather let Ronald Curry call the plays if they move on from Brady.

There's many people here blame McD for the rift between him and Daboll, keep hearing it's McD's ego.  There may be legit things you can blame McD for, but this isn't one of them.  I read multiple stories about his time in NY and this guy is a hot mess and seems to have anger management issues and can't get along with anybody.  Seems like he can't handle pressure well.  When the team is winning he's fine, but when things go bad, he loses it.

Daboll cratered fast. Will Dart follow him to his next team?

Cratered fast? The Giants are similar to the Bills in a sense. Massive resources allocated to a defense that struggles to get the job done and puts the offense in a hole.

On top of that they had a game changing WR lost for the season, injuries to their OL, a RB who was a problem lost to a broken foot and a QB who looks to show real potential seemingly unwilling to protect himself once he’s already picked up the yards needed to move the chains.

Not advocating to bring Dab back but I think he got the wrong end of the deal there. Especially when the guy making the moves and deals is still there in Beane Jr.

the fact he still got a pass after letting Saquon walk to a division rival after the guy was more than willing to stay in a seemingly inept and stagnant team says enough.

I understand the sentiment and Dab should shoulder some of the blame but putting all of it on him is a bit unjust.

Well, he is a beefy fellow and I don't think he would have done any worse then Brown did at RT. I say, give him a jersey.

Ok, but hear me out.

Tooth Fairy covers A LOT of ground quickly every night. One would think she could be a good deep threat. Slide her into the role that made for Mecole Hardman and I think we may have something.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I can't believe how many people forget how frustrating he was here.

I haven't forgotten.

This isn't an issue of people thinking "Daboll is perfect". This is "Daboll has his warts, but his warts are WAY less harmful than Brady's warts".

I’ve seen Daboll’s Offense, beyond Year 1, look elite in the playoffs.

We’re in Brady’s full Year 2, and have defenses saying they knew exactly what we’d try to do, with film guys all but calling Brady a simple idiot.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder.   In this case, it’s warranted.

You do realize you don't have to pick an OC with ugly nasty warts, right? I hope you don't choose women like you would an OC.
