Not that Waddle was at fault, he probably would have loved to be traded.

Quinenn Williams would’ve turned this defense into a real force. Smart of the Jets. The only thing they have on us is a SB.

Beane has to know you pay a premium at the deadline and opposing teams knew of Buffalo's need.  Then, a divisional team?  They were going to take Beane for everything they could like a loan shark.  

 

Then, have to consider that finding an option this past off-season would have been cheaper.  As in, D.K. Metcalf or perhaps Davante Adams.  

 

But they were too intent on getting McD everything he wanted for the defense.

I blame Beane for being in this same  position for the last 3 seasons. The should have been planning to draft a guy after the diggs trade.

He in fact did those things. Maybe had he addressed a impactful WR in the offseason (which was the main point) Beane wouldn't be trying to trade for one at the trade deadline.

I agree, but after over fifty years of following the team, I don't want to win at any cost. Hoecht is a leader. Wilkins is decidedly not.

I don't think so. Not the way Brady uses receivers. I think the problem is much more that Brady doesn't optimize the WR talent we already have than he needs more talent.

Hell, all we need is someone who can at least threaten downfield…that currently does not exist on our roster.

True but he probably was thinking I don’t want to just get a Band-Aid anymore like he has been doing with players like Amari Cooper. A lot of the other players didn’t have cost controlled deals or weren’t worth the investment long-term. I’m sure if the Jets were willing to part ways with Garrett Wilson he would’ve been all over that one as well, but Chris Olave is a serious risk with his concussions and honestly, he doesn’t have the upside of waddle or Wilson. Other players like Ridley may have helped short term, but probably weren’t worth giving up a draft pick in his eyes whether I agree or not I am hopeful that his outlook on the position is changing

This just infuriates me more, Beane refuses to upgrade the WR position in this past draft then goes on to scold the WGR morning show and now was said to be in on several WR talks at the deadline and then spends all his time trying to trade with division rivals who probably milked it out just so Beane couldn’t go after anyone else, you sir got PLAYED!

Williams makes sense cuz they got a good deal from the cowboys anyway…the dolphins turning down the waddle trade doesn’t make a lot of sense to me personally unless Miami thinks they only need a partial rebuild (which I think we all know isn’t true 😂)

Based on their 2 losses this season. Based on the fact that they still have to play 4 of the top 10 run defenses in the league at the moment to close out the season. We’ve played two teams in the top 10, NE and ATL, and we lost to both of them. Based on how awful they looked when, for whatever stupid brain fart Brady had, they weren’t running the ball. 
 

The Bills have no contingency plan. If a team shuts down Cook or if he gets injured for any length of time they’re screwed. Consider that for a second… a Bills team QB’d by Josh Allen has their SB hopes riding on the health of a 190 lb running back who’s seeing more carries than he has at any time in his career. When he turned his ankle against KC my sphincter puckered in the same way it does whenever Allen gets up shaking his hand or holding his arm for some reason.

I don’t think there’s a waddle level player in the draft that we could’ve gotten for less than a third in one draft and a first in the next tbh 

 

that’s like trading up for Nabers/mcmillan territory depending on what draft you’re talking about

that’s like trading up for Nabers/mcmillan territory depending on what draft you’re talking about 

You need to keep trying until you get 1, doesn’t have to be a 1st rounder every time but you have to try.
