T master Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Agree I wanted to get up to go to 1 more game at the Ralph but it doesn't look as if I'll be able to make it this season there is still a slight chance but I know I don't want to sit through any more games in the snow I'm to dam old for that !! Ā But you nailed it & Kelsey is right, Buffalo is a special place and that area will always be home no matter where I lay my head !!Ā Ā I just hope that they can bring a championship to this stadium that has given all of us so many great memories in the past she needs to be given a proper closing ceremony handing the Lombardi around to the player old and new in that stadium .Ā Ā GO BILLS !!!Ā Ā 4 Quote
billsfan89 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Buffalo is a special place for football. I have been to games for 6 teams in about 4 different arenas outside of Buffalo (NJ/LA/Arizona/Philly) and while I can say that every teams fans have passion and every teams fans having finally gone to Buffalo this season to see a game I can say that the energy in Buffalo is unmatched. I am not even just saying that about the energy in the stadium either. Ā The energy in the town about the Bills is so amazing. Go anywhere the night before game day and its Bills gear everywhere. I live in NJ about 4 miles away or less from where the Giants/Jets play. Even 15 years ago when the Jets were making the AFCCG back to back and the Giants had those two Super Bowl runs the energy was not the same as it is for a Bills regular season. Ā Of course gameday the energy for the team at and around the stadium is electric and during the game the non-stop energy and yelling is unrivaled. I just haven't seen anything like it.Ā 1 Quote

Bruffalo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago "Going up to Buffalo's not an easy thing. That stadium was rocking. That place was electric.Ā Shout out to all the Bills Mafia that was talking all the [expletive] in the world. I love it. It's a sacred place to play a football game. I cherish every game that I get an opportunity to go up there." - Travis Kelce Ā 1 Quote
Shaw66 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm still not sure there's no place like it, but I've been to a lot of places that AREN'T like Buffalo. I went to the Jets and to the Panthers games this season, and both places were downright embarrassing to their franchises and fan bases.Ā Ā I hadn't seen the Kelce quote. Amazing to have someone like him make that comment. It verifies that what we feel in the stadium is real.Ā Ā The Chiefs game Sunday was one of the best at Highmark, but there have been so many, it's impossible to name them all. Chiefs last season was amazing, too. Ā Ferguson and Kelly standing in the end zone, both wearing their blue number 12 jerseys, leading the pre-kickoff cheer, was an unexpected emotional moment for me. Those two guys that we cheered for during all of those games, all of the great moments they brought us, both of them then surviving cancer, seeing them out there was just so great. Too bad Kemp couldn't have been out there, too. Jack and Joe and Jim and Josh.Ā Ā I've been promoting my book by talking to Bills fans. I was at the Saturday night party at the Tavern by the Tracks in Charlotte, introducing myself and chatting with folks about them and me and my book. I was at the tail gate parties at Highmark for the Chiefs game. I chatted with folks at my hotel. At first, I felt awkward, introducing myself and talking about myself, but pretty quickly I realized that these were all Bills fans, and Bills fans are just great. Practically everyone was interested in talking to me, and very quickly we were sharing stories about where we grew up, what games we'd been to, how great it is to be able to go to these games and share them with each other.Ā Ā I doubt we'll lose it when everything moves across the street to the new place, but maybe we will. Either way, we should be sure to appreciate what we've had together as fans for all these years.Ā Ā GO BILLS!!! Ā Ā 3 1 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Winning makes a huge difference at every stadium in every city.Ā I agree that Buffalo is the best football scene in America.Ā But let's face it, if the Jets or Panthers for example had the 7 year success that Buffalo is having,Ā the fans there would make it a more special environment. corta765 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago There is a short list of cities where the NFL is like college with how passionate the fans are and how the entire city/region transforms for the: Buffalo Green Bay Pittsburgh KC (tailgate apparently rivals BUF) Denver (same as KC tailgate wise) Cleveland All of those fanbases it is a different thing and they travel extremely well where it is noticeable on TV or when we have played them in Buffalo I have said "dang their are a lot of them here today". I have heard Detroit fans are very loyal just with how many years of beaten down they don't have a national following like the others. Minnesota I would also put up there, but still not to the level of these six. I will not necessarily put BUF ahead of them as much as it is a mutual respect because the passion is equal. How it is displayed may differ as each has a different footprint and history for what they have gone through. But if your in this six I will listen to calls of best fanbase and not bat an eye. Ā The rest of the NFL it is corporate and a big thing, but not the sole focus. Doesn't mean fans in PHI or NY are not devoted, but it is not the same type of thing. Seattle I find very corporate bandwagon and when they got good it did remind me how currently some people just want to be "Bills Mafia" because it is the hot thing, same happened with the 12s BS. Baltimore does have a devoted fanbase BUT their recent struggles saw the stadium not filled which was honestly pathetic given how much season was left and Lamar was returning. I think they are a bit more frontrunner and their real test will be when they stink for a while if they can show any form of life. Their history is basically .500 or better with a ton of playoff years, two SBs, and conference title games mixed in. Ā Ā 2 Quote

TBBills Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I still hate Travis Kelce.Ā However, I do hate him less now Quote
oldmanfan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The Bills have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Ā I was just 4 years old when my dad took my brother and me to see the home opener in 1960. Ā I can still remember men bringing cases of Genny into the Rockpile to drink during the game. Ā I was at the first game at Rich, with Mul-Key returning the kickoff for a TD on the first ever play. Ā The memories of tailgates with friends, the great games Iāve see there, are etched in my mind and will be till I die. Ā I will be returning next week for the Bucs game, probably the last Iāll see at Rich Stadium (Iāll always think of it as such). Ā My son-in-law and younger daughter have never been to a game in Buffalo, and I insisted they had to see one game before the move. Ā One game to be at Rich, to experience the atmosphere, see the tailgates, be part of what has been such a huge part of my life for 66 years. Ā My wife, two daughters, a son in law, two of my nieces, all in our Bills gear, all tailgating and sharing food and drink with other fans. Ā Canāt wait. 2 5 Quote

Ā GF was a thru-and-thru CA girl; no attachment to Buf except via myself, as I would always take her to the sports bar at 1000 to watch the Bills. Ā Anyway, 3Jan93, comeback game. After first half, I lost my sh*t and went upstairs in my flat. She, in huffy reply, said "I'm staying here to watch, bc I love this team." Wow. Ā Anyway, second half, I could hear her yelling downstairs. Ā She walked up to our room and said, w barely disguised anger: "get your ass down here, bc something is happening." Ā Never will forget it, obviously.Ā Ā Next year, I did bring her to a home game in Dec. No kidding, fans around us were asking her, in good fun, "wtf, are you from CA or something?" Ā Anyway, she went on to work for a 3-letter, where we would cross paths here and there...then she became a FT yoga instructor. Ā Lesson kids: marry the girl who loves the Bills, works for the IC, and then teaches yoga. Ā My bad. Ā 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I've been to several stadiums.Ā You feel the energy more at a Bills home game than any other place. You literally feel energy and its unexplainable unless you're Nikola Tesla. 1 Quote

It's a special thing, being a Bills fan. It is an instant connection with a stranger. Its a way for me to connect with my family. I recently flew back to Buffalo to attend the Chiefs game in person, and I was shocked at how visible the Bills were just driving around town. Every where I looked I saw Bills flags or people wearing gear. Not used to the plethora of Bills fans, I even made the silly mistake of saying "Go Bills" to a guy at a gas station who was wearing a hat. He just looked at me strange lol and said "uhh yeah", as if Obviously. Western NY is a very special place. I could not imagine the city of Buffalo without the Bills. WHEN they do win the superbowl (IT WILL HAPPEN), I think I would prefer to go back to Buffalo for the parade, rather than actually go watch the game.Ā Ā We might literally quadruple the population of Buffalo for that parade with all the people flying or driving in from out of the area who are Bills fans!Ā š 1 Quote
