Just wondering if anyone else agrees with this. Prater for some unknown reason didn't get out on the field until 10 seconds were left so the kick was rushed. Wouldn't the better play have been to have tried to punt it inside the 10 yard line? It wastes more clock and pretty much ends the game.

McD said in the presser they were kicking the FG or going for it on 4th... They were not going to punt no matter what...

That was the most mad I was all game.

 

I think it was a ridiculous decision to kick the FG.

Take the delay of game and punt.. Zero percent chance they are scoring 80-90 yards in 20-25 seconds with 0 timeouts

   Devils advocate….. this is recency bias . You’re assuming that the teams and coaches taking their place are all going to be pushovers. 
   Don’t get me wrong, not seeing the Chiefs, Ravens or Bengals seems pretty sweet but we need to worry about our own warts first.

   Been against trading for help but am starting to come around…. On O.

I agree with this, but I would change "The defense was coached well" to "The defense was called well".

Because the problems we've seen with preparation under Babich have in no way whatsoever diminished.

The Special Teams do not have it all together.  Prater should have been out there earlier and getting ready.

 

McDermott had to use another timeout when they had 12 on the field.

It needs to get addressed and fixed.

With his 114 yards tonight against KC, Cook has 867 on the season, which puts him just 133 yards from 1K.  With a good dose of Cook against Miami next week, he could possibly cross that mark next week.

 

He didn't break 1K until the meaningless game against NE in week 18 last year.  Crazy. 

 

He is the key to this offense for sure. I can't imagine where this team would be right now without him.

Great to see Bishop and Kincaid have a game!

 

We finally played with some tempo on offense and threw a pass to Cook out of the backfield.

 

Bosa, Walker, Groot, AJE and Hoecht played strong on the DL. Feel sick about Hoecht! 
 

Bills had multiple opportunities to really put this game away but couldn’t. 

 

Time to roll with Max and Hancock in the secondary!

 

Gonna need Milano and Bernard to step up their game.

 

Coaching staff stills makes way too many head scratching decisions. Early 4th and 2 playcall was atrocious. No words on 4th and 17th. Had to burn a TO for too many players on the field for the FG. Way too often defensive play calls were coming in late.

 

Outside of Shakir, WR’s we’re almost invisible.

 

At some point, can we go right on the QB sneak?

 

Lastly, if KC loses to Denver they’ll fall to 5-5 which makes winning the AFCW extremely difficult. 
 

AFC “probable” playoff teams:

 

Buffalo, NE, Denver, LAC, Indy, AFCN. Which means a dogfight for KC, Jax, Baltimore or Pitt for the last spot.

They had to know they had no timeouts left and were running the ball on 3rd down to keep the clock moving.  Definitely should've had more urgency getting the FG team in position faster for sure.

 

12 men on the KC FG is inexcusable.  Don't know what was going on there.

But it also showed how Josh Allen has to have an almost perfect game and Cook also has to have a big game for the Bills to win these types of games.  
A couple of McDermott's defensive timeouts were warranted.  But a couple of them were not. Defense has to be more ready.  Bills could face Chiefs in an early game if Chiefs don't win their division.  So who knows what happens after this.

WR is still the biggest deadline need, despite what happened w/ Hoecht.  

 

It's hard to see us competing for a Super Bowl without one WR who can get open.

It's a good point... Especially if you pin them...I think the FG was the play only because he's been so good all year, and for most of his career... I was actually shocked he missed it.

They were a bit run heavier than people seem to be remembering early and were actually pretty successful moving the ball through the air by comparison.  When they had to get one dimensional to stay in the game though things got ugly. 
 

even their first drive when down just 12-3 was a run-run-pass three and out.  First drive of the game was a run-run-pass three and out as well. Outside of a nice long run on third and medium they weren’t really doing much of anything on the ground and it wasn’t for a lack of trying.  The idea that they lost because they were too stupid to run the ball is a bit odd to me.

I wasn’t upset with the FG as it seals a victory. I would have liked to seen more creativity in the PC by Brady besides two straight ahead runs into the middle of the line. Get Josh out on the edge to ice it with a first down. 
 

Communications is critical and yet again ST weren’t ready to go for the FG attempt. That’s on McDermott and was he hesitant to call for the FG?  On 3rd down it looked they intentionally ran it to the left hash mark for Prater.
