I'm just trying to be objective here. A Bills loss yesterday ( thankfully a no) would have been devastating to the psych of the team. I'm wondering why it took so long to flip the switch this season. Outside of the opener, this has been the only game with lots of intensity. I realize rivalry games can bring that out, but let's see how things progress from here. 2 Quote

It was fantastic and something our O had been loathe to try except in scramble drill situations. We have had the required pieces to be successful at least since last year - experienced and savvy QB, versatile RB, good OL and TEs to block if necessary. We saw how it threw off the Chiefs and we could keep marching down the field. I don't want us to do it for long stretches but it should be used when the opposing D is on it's heels, looking tired or if we are looking for the killer TD. Making judicious use of the no huddle will also unsettle opposing DCs cos they won't know when it's coming. I second your observation. I was at the game and could watch what players were subbing in etc. Buffalo obviously used the the no huddle when they had a mismatch in offense package vs Chiefs defense. For example on the long throw to Kincaid that went down to the 2 yard line, BUF had a heavier package in vs the Chiefs lighter package. Result was Ty walked into the end zone. I watched them use the hurry up effectively all game to prevent the Chiefs from subbing. 7 Quote

The series where they got down to the goal line and quick transitioned to no huddle is another example of good coaching in the game - didnt allow chiefs to sub in their goal line package 2 Quote

Einstein Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago It’s amazing how much that NE loss changed things. Had we came out against NE like we did KC, we would have a 2.5 game lead in the division and would be #1 in the conference. One game. 1 2 1 Quote

This week is an opportunity to get back in 1st place if things go well. Pats at Bucs - finally a tough game for NE since the Bills game Bills at Dolphins - unless an upset happens the Bills should be 7-2 sometime around 4:00 on Sunday afternoon Sunday morning is the Falcons and Colts - it would be nice if we get help from the Falcons to see if they can give the Colts loss #3 for conference seeding purposes. If all goes well and the Falcons, Bucs, and Bills win then the Bills will be 7-2 with the Pats and Colts at 7-3 2 Quote

Cray51 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Very well coached game - team was disciplined, structured, and didn't force anything on offense. Defense looked measured, have to think McD calling plays and coordinating with Poyer back there is helping. I dont understand why people are pooping on McD last night. He coached a very very good game. His timeout at the end of the half with 25 seconds left was perfect. Allowed his personnel to reset, put the goal line team in, and they made 3 great plays to hold the Chiefs to 3 points. In the past few years, whenever the Bills get their midseason win over the Chiefs it kicks them into gear and they go on a run. Last year was a 4-1 run to lock up the division and conference with a game in hand going into NE. Fingers crossed we continue that push this year 2 1 Quote

Because the problems we've seen with preparation under Babich have in no way whatsoever diminished. I would’ve agreed with you but for Bishop’s play last night - he was in the exact right spot every single time last night which tells me he was perfectly prepared. Most of that is on him but some of it is definitely on Babich. Quote
boater Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Given that Hoecht's injury was a non-contact injury.... is it something that would not have happened if they were playing on grass? That would be reason Number 107 why I can't wait for the new Hallmark. 1 1 Quote

It was a straight push off and it snapped. 2 Quote

He played 43% of the defensive snaps. He didn’t have any big plays like the TD saving tackle last week, but the speed is noticeable. The Bills look so much faster with he and Hairston in the secondary. 2 Quote

Non-contact Achilles tendon ruptures almost always occur due to underlying degenerative changes (tendinopathy/tendinosis), even if the person has no prior pain or prior symptoms. Wear and tear, getting up to speed too quickly, prior PED use? Who knows. Edited 7 hours ago by PayDaBill$ Quote

These pass rushers should basically be stretching those calves constantly throughout the entire game! Quote
RunTheBall Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My favorite part was getting a Big W. I don’t care that it’s the regular season, that was a great win. My second favorite part was seeing AJ absolutely PLANT Mahomes into the turf and not getting flagged because Mahomes did his usual sideline act My third favorite part was Bishop blasting that douche Kelce in the end zone, I hope he bruised some ribs 3 1 Quote

The edge rush and young players in the secondary made it happen today. This stat is kinda unbelievable given how long he’s been in the league. Didn’t Josh go 9/30 or something like that against the Texans last year? Hats off to the defense and the pass rush in particular. Edited 7 hours ago by Brand J 1 Quote
DD4Bills Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Huge win. Significance can't be understated. - Keeps Pats within (easier) reach - Pushes Chiefs to 3rd in the AFCW and out of a play-off position - Huge showing by the D, especially their young guys (Bishop & Hairston) - Great balance on O, with finally some success throwing downfield Not perfect by any stretch, but the outlook after this win vs the outlook if they had lost is night and day. And the "but the playoffs!" narrative is irrelevant until the playoffs. 2 other quick observations: - I watched this game with the sound muted. So much more pleasurable than listening to announcers over-hyping everything - WGR post-game with Schopp and Bulldog is unlistenable. Smarmy, arrogant, ignorant, and negative even after a win like this. 2 1 Quote
