We only scored 7 points in the 2nd half. The actual play wasn’t as close as the final score. I also think it was kind of bold to do a fire drill game winning FG attempt. Prater was barely in position with 7 seconds left on the play clock. Agree, too conservative too soon… and the burning of timeouts early has to stop. These are going to be critical in games and the Bills just are too confused and not buttoned up. 2 Quote

It was so loud and we have so many new pieces in the secondary it also hurts their communication It seems like they couldn't communicate between each other a bunch because it was so loud.. veterans can communicate with a nod inexperienced guys they're actually trying to communicate and it makes it tougher Also who knows if we had 10 people on the field for one of them Edited 13 hours ago by Buffalo716 Quote

SydneyBillsFan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I didn't see a path to victory for this game. I did not foresee a situation where we rattled 15 as much as we did. This was easily the best defensive performance of the year. Credit to McD / Babich and all the players involved. The lack of WR involvement still concerns me. 1 3 Quote
HappyDays Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) The Chiefs were 10-0 in one score games last year. This year they're 0-4. Analytics nerds rejoice. Edited 10 hours ago by HappyDays 5 3 3 Quote
Bruffalo Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Bosa had a monster game. 10 hurries and a sack. He’s someone I’d love the Bills to extend for another two seasons before he gets too expensive. 2 Quote

The bills DEs have looked pretty good to me all year…there’s just been so many coverage issues early that really no amount of quick pressure really mattered Quote

Just ride out the one year deal for now 4 1 Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Our offense got conservative in the 2nd half because we felt we controlled the game. There was no sense of panic or urgency. That's a great thing, brahs. Also, no need to show Kansas City our entire hand. We'll see them in the playoffs to show our true might. There is a high chance they're screwed, against us, when we meet: - We'll have home field. - As atrocious, and injured, our defense is, we STILL beat them. - Josh Allen and James Cook ran through their throats. In the past, Chiefs just had to deal with Josh. Now, there's James Cook, too. He's probably the 2nd best RB in the NFL. 1st is Jonathan Taylor. - Josh Allen managed the game very well. - DT Chris Jones looks tired. These are bad signs for Chiefs. Let them keep saying "These regular season wins don't mean anything. You can't beat us in the playoffs." Yes, that's true. Keep talking. Things will change eventually. Trust in Josh Allen and James Cook to get major stuff done. Trust in McD to be a mental midget for Josh Allen and James Cook to overcome LOL Quote

Pretty sure Josh tweaked his ankle early in the 4th quarter on the 3rd and 1 sneak. He came out of the pile gimpy and then handed it to Cook the next two plays, both of which he was hobbling a bit. Took two sacks right after those handoffs. Quote

He talked as if Cook was easily replaceable! Quote

Yep a lot of people did. I think it was because a lot of people would frankly have an offense where a running back is a complimentary piece and not that important to our success or failure - a Daboll offense for example, where the backs were just guys to run once every 5 or 6 snaps to stock defenses totally selling out against the pass. I agree with them too but that is NOT the offense we have. Cook was and is our only explosive offensive weapon except for Josh - even with Kincaid having a nice year. But I really question the sanity of anyone who thought Ray Davis was in the same stratosphere as Cook talent wise and could easily replace him. I like Joe but that was a strange take. Quote

How the hell does the defense get worse by 2 TDs consistently every time they meet in the playoffs?? I think you saw why today no one is available to play due to injury come divisional round/ afc championship game another major piece went down Quote
Rochesterfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 9 hours ago, HappyDays said: The defense was coached well. But the usage of timeouts was ridiculous. The 4th and 17 was stopped on the original play, he gave them a free do over. The head coach can't freeze up in critical moments. Come on Happy - you are better than this. The 1st 4 and 17 was stopped because the whistles were blowing and the receivers down field and the OLine and DLine all stopped and slowed down. The head coach recognized that his guys were not set correctly and a couple of players were out of position. The time out was 100% the right call. When you have several young players on the backend of the defense and they are trying to determine who has who - that is when you get a broken play for a TD. 2 1 Quote
vincec Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) 7 hours ago, CincyBillsFan said: The guard was so late getting to Bosa that he was unblocked and he figured the Chiefs were setting something up behind him. It sucked because had Bosa gone straight after Mahomes they don't convert that 4th down. On the other hand it was a real heads up play by Bose to recognize that something wasn't right. My favorite part is Romo saying that it was some type of creative blocking scheme that again demonstrated Andy Reid’s genius, when the execution was actually so bad that it confused Bosa. On critical 4th down play, Reid decides to not block the Bills best pass rusher. Romo: Genius! Edited 7 hours ago by vincec 1 1 Quote
Rochesterfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 9 hours ago, DCofNC said: It’s not THAT PLAY, it was 4 ***** defensive time outs. From a DEFENSIVE COACH. Maybe you should listen to Romo - who has repeatedly said - Offenses control the clock - they have ways to stop it themselves. The defense is where the majority of time outs should be used. Whether a defensive or offensive coach - a time out on defense is the only way to stop the clock or reset your team. On offense - you can speed up or huddle up to make sure you control what players are on d and what you want to play. Your complaint about where the timeouts were used is just plain old wrong and very 1970/80 thinking. The complaint about why is legitimate, but that was not on the coach, but the players - you are melding a bunch of young and new players with different guys and it was obvious they were not sure exactly how they wanted to handle it. The coach did exactly what a coach should do. 1 1 Quote

Take the delay of game and punt.. Zero percent chance they are scoring 80-90 yards in 20-25 seconds with 0 timeouts You clearly don’t remember 13 seconds .. Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Feeling quite good about this one. I don’t want to get carried away as we’ve seen this in the regular season against the Chiefs before. It’s just nice to see the Bills looking like the Bills since the bye. The Bills have gotten faster and more athletic with the development of Bishop & Kincaid & the insertion of Hancock & Hairston. Speed kills and until recently the Bills have lacked it on both sides of the ball. Now the defense has the speed to keep up. The Bills once again look like contenders. The bye came at the perfect time. 8 1 Quote
