GASabresIUFan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Everyone feel better? Apparently the sky isn’t falling, the Bills don’t suck and they can still win games. Phew! Now that said, the WRs still suck and Josh seems off. Obviously Cookie had a game. I glad Beane doesn’t read this board and decided to re-sign him. I liked what I saw from Bishop today. Shaq Thompson has done an excellent job for us. The defense looked much better with McD calling plays. Now they need to carry this over and build on it against KC. Win next week and the train if fully back on the tracks. Edited 14 hours ago by GASabresIUFan 5 2 1 Quote

Even rhymes with “Mirefans” will somehow mental gymnastic his way into dismissing this 30 point beatdown that he previously called for a Panthers win. Lmao way it goes here. this offense flows through Cook and needs to. Allen is all-world but its Cooks year, and that’s ok I'll raise my hand to say i was skeptical about a win today due to the previous two games. Josh still looks like version 2.1 Josh but ecstatic about Cook and looks loke we have a hot head in Hoecht! 2 Quote

While I'm pleased with the win, and happy with a blowout, it did not alleviate the concerns I have. For whatever reason, Buffalo is shying away from passing the ball deep. The one big pass play today was a catch and run. It wasn't even a balanced offense. It was run heavy. That's fine when you can make it work. James Cook was amazing today, but there will be games where he will be far more ordinary, and Buffalo is getting nothing from Davis and Ty Johnson. Josh had a bunch of off throws today, and they were short throws. I wonder why. There have been no reports of an injury. Balance would be great, but the complete dearth of downfield plays, or even just attempted downfield plays will cause defensive coordinators to strategize to stop the things that Buffalo is doing successfully if Buffalo doesn't force them to account for the deep throw. So, has Buffalo abandoned the deep throw because they don't feel capable of executing it (weak group of receivers) a philosophical aversion to plays that carry a higher risk factor, or they are saving it in order to surprise Kansas City or some future opponent. I think the third possibility would be a mistake. If it is the first possibility, I'm worried because that will bite Buffalo when it counts. If it is a philosophical choice, I think it is a mistake. In the end, chicken ball can be just as deadly as hero ball. I think Buffalo needs to find a happy middle ground. Edited 13 hours ago by BigAl2526 1 1 Quote

I don’t care what happens against KC. This was a solid win against a solid team. Beating the Chiefs in the regular season no longer impresses me like it used to. Bro we played Andy Dalton. 1 1 Quote

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I suppose. Today Kincaid had 1 catch for 23yds. I thought Dalton was going to be our Kelce? Everyone talks him up as a weapon yet we rarely target him. The inconsistency in his usage drives me nuts. 3 1 Quote
buffalo2218 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago So after today, do we make a call for BTJ or perhaps A.J. Brown? 1 Quote
oldmanfan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Solid performance today. I suspect McD talked to Brady over bye week and said enough, get back to good basic football. He still needs to be more inventive in his passing schemes, but he has a weapon in Cook, a good O line and used them. It was good to see Hairston and Hancock on the field some; both showed well. And the D line really benefitted from Hoechst. I am concerned about Josh. His accuracy was off today. Wonder if he’s dinged up. 3 Quote

Bob in STL Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) I will call it a good win and a warm up for next week. Great game for Cook and the run blockers. Great game for the defense too. Concerned about Oliver. Hoecht and Hairston will help them. The passing game is still not there. Allen talked about timing and his feet, I think his receivers are not very good. Shakir and Kincaid is all he has. They need to be better next week with KC in town. Edited 14 hours ago by Bob in STL 1 Quote

Eagles won’t do it but I would get Brown and just feed him. The dude will want to prove he’s one of the best WR’s in football also note he has stated publicly before he’d love to play with Allen or Mahomes Quote

BTJ probably isn't moving anywhere unless some team blows the Jags away with an offer. There really aren't many good WR options out there. If I'm Beane I'm calling Cleveland about Jerry Jeudy right now. Quote
