HalftimeAdjustment Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago No. The problem is offensive scheme and play calling. Yesterday the pass rush was super disruptive and the other team had success in preventing Josh rolling right. There should have been screens, max protect, or other blitz-beating plays used. Instead (for example) we tried an end-around again and fumbled AGAIN. 1 Quote
Brandon Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Maybe. It depends on how long this stubborn ass FO continues to ignore the personnel deficiencies on offense. Even if they make a big draft investment at WR this year, for instance, you likely need to factor 2 or 3 seasons of development before they reach full potential. Quote

It's sad, and embarrassing, to see. I wish I could go back to the time where I 100% believed this lol as absolutely horrendous as this defense is for like 60% of games they seem to get the needed stops to get back in the game very often it’s honestly kinda comical. I don’t get how a defense this terrible for 2 1/2 quarters can do that so consistently Quote

And we seem to either keep picking the wrong guy (Coleman) or drafting defensive players. I'm not convinced this front office and coach is at an elite enough level to build a roster around a qb on top money. 13 seconds was the one.... No, he will be Super Bowl avalilable until hes in his mid 30s. Probably NOT with Buffalo like Matthew Stafford did with LA. 13 seconds was the year and that Defensive scheme was so bizarre I actually thought somewone in coaching was throwing the game aka rigged. It was unexplainable to this day and the fool even tried it again last year. He says all the right things in front of the television cameras but never follows through on anything. His O Coordinators have never been on the same "complimentatry" football page, just like against Atlanta. So Cook does wonderful things in the 2nd half and hes benched in front of his homecoming for 12 + minutes left for what by McDermott? I recall he wanted nothig ti do with Tyrod and could not wait to run Tyrod otta here for Nathan Peterman. I also liked Nathan but Bills trew him under the bus as he should have never had started. Seems liem coach has a history of destroyimg other mankind. See Fraiser; Leslie. God, I am so sorry but I used to love McDermott but now I hate him and everything about him. Either hes a sociopath who purposely lies to the reporters as NOTHING ever comes to fruition or in his own mind he lives in a bubble of fantasy. NOT playing Cook in the 4th quarter was a disgrace to that player, a human who was here for his homecoming. Then 7 carries in the 1st half also tell it all. Something is seriously wrong with that man. He plays favorites and thats the worst trait among anyone. Buffalo Joe should not even be on the practice squad or in the league. Another Nathan Peterman. 2 1 Quote

I honestly hope he goes to a franchise that has the capability to win a Super Bowl. He's given this team a ton and I don't want to see him end his career without winning one. I would hate for him to have a Marino career, or worse, having never been to a championship game. It just doesn't look like it'll ever happen for Buffalo. This franchise is stuck in neutral. Or more appropriately, the transmission is shot. I don't know what can possibly change, but the coaching staff is mostly inept from top to bottom. Before doing something so drastic, we should fire McBeane. But yes, if we keep McBeane, then it is morally wrong to also keep Josh Allen. I come not to crush you but to praise you for your good morals. Give him a chance to win the Super Bowl. If not here (and I much prefer we try here), then let him do it elsewhere. 1 Quote

We invested $160 million in a decent slot WR, a backup TE who has only seen the field less since, and a Milano replacement when we should have been investing that into a #1 WR and Safety replacements for Hyde and Poyer. 1 Quote

I think if we just stayed put and drafted Jefferson instead of trading for Diggs, we would've won 1 SB (2021). But considering how pathetic our playoff defense has been, maybe not? But yes we've officially wasted Josh's 1st window. This was his younger more athletic version. He'll be 30 in May so realistically I think Josh's 2nd and final window will last till about 36-37. This version won't be hurdling lbs or running 40 yards over dbs. He will require weapons and a clean pocket. 2 things the current staff is obviously incapable of supplying. Buffalo absolutely deserves one. But I think about Jim Kelly and Dan Marino, and while I dislike the Dolphins, after Marino retired I felt bad for him having not won one. Same for Kelly for obvious reasons. This team is broken in so many ways that it seems like the annual rinse-and-repeat simply won't change. 1 Quote
Process Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I'll be honest, I've never got the sense from Josh that he has any desire to be playing until he's 40. People just assume that, but for all we know he'll decide to pack it up in a few years and ride off into the sunset. He'll probably be approaching a billion dollar net worth at that point, I mean can't watch TV for more than 10 minutes without seeing him on the screen. We need to get this done and approach every year like it's our last shot. Quote

Pecker Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is a total myth. Lots of teams pay a qb like Josh and they still have loaded rosters. lions eagles Miami chiefs rams cowboys ravens bengals hell even the falcons who pay their backup like Josh. Quote

Give me names as the hypothetical doesn't match the reality. Change for change sake doesn't always mean better. See the Jets. You're right, change for the sake of change isn't always the solution. But we knew as a fanbase after 13s that McD had issues. So from 2021 to present we've lost opportunities to hire coaches like Peyton, Harbaugh, Johnson, Vrabel and yes even Belichick. Pegula is not an idiot. He saw the flaws in Sean & Brandon yet choose to ignore them for the sake of continuity. Continuity is great until it gets stale. Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No, as long as Josh is playing he has a window to win a Super Bowl. The problem is McDermott's window has closed to win as a HC. 2021 was the year and he directly BLEW IT with 13 seconds. Time to move on before we waste Josh's entire career. 1 Quote

I disagree that they're ignoring the problems. The issue is they don't seem able to fix them with the investments they have made. Keon - 33rd overall Samuel - 24M contract Palmer - 29M contract That's three pretty big investments for two spots. It's also clear from the way they've built out the offense that they're not trying to be a Brian Daboll spread pass heavy offense anymore. Instead it's strong running game with multiple TEs including guys (Kincaid) who can work from the slot which does fit Josh's game as a dual threat QB. McBeane absolutely deserve criticsm for the state of the WR room, but you can't be everything everywhere, especially when your QB is already on the hook for 60M cap hits into the forseeable future.
