Probably a good OC. If he was smart he’d make an Irish exit plan and take an OC job somewhere. If you guys don’t know that phrase, it means when you’re done at a work event or something, you just quietly retreat and don’t tell anyone. If you did, and liked or loved, you spend 45 minutes saying goodbye. Easier to just slip away. I wish the best for McDaniel, but he just wasn’t a head coach. It doesn’t mean he’s not brilliant. Wouldn't mind Olave if they could get him. But seems N.O. is working towards signing him. Olave would be more reasonable and likely in every way. He would make a lot of sense and would immediately be a significant upgrade even at this stage of his career to our safety room. Wilson and Waddle I have a hard time seeing as realistic options. Jets just paid Wilson to build around him knowing they have QB issues, so not sure why it would change now 6 weeks in. I don't think there is much of a chance they trade Wilson, and certainly don't think they would ever trade him to the Bills for Allen and Wilson to play together in their primes. I would be willing to give up a lot for Wilson, he is a tremendous talent, but that is also why I don't think the Jets have any interest in handing that kind of talent to Josh Allen in his prime. Waddle I can see getting moved potentially, but they literally have no one else to throw to now or next year, so not sure they pull that trigger and also highly doubt they would let him go to Buffalo in Allens prime either to help add the one area to Josh's arsenal he is missing, downfield speed. At WR, Olave would probably be the most realistic guy both available and as a target for the Bills. I would be open to us going after him, but I would be cautious about the cost as I do still think he gets a bit overrated around here. He would bring a welcomed deep threat to our outside passing game, but he doesn't have a great catch rate and his best season came on the back of heavy, yet inefficient, volume. So for me, I just don't want to see us over pay either. That's an interesting idea, I'd love to see them get Buddha if possible. Rapp really looked pretty good last year. Not nearly so much this year. And we need a good pair of safeties for a McDermott defense. Edited 8 hours ago by Thurman#1 1 Quote

Noggin, not everyone is Irish so a number of people down where I live have no idea what an Irish Retreat means, nor Irish Alzheimer’s. So wiseguy, it was for their benefit, not yours. 3 1 Quote

Yeah, he's had 3 strong games with qbr over 110 too. Completely different styles, but consistency-wise he reminds me of Joe Ferguson. Quote

We can go heavy on defensive picks. Fast, compact, agile picks!" * McDaniel will have Josh Allen throwing those 'very catchable' balloon balls that Tua throws. 🤨 However, it does look like we should have grabbed Saleh as our DC when he became available. 1 1 Quote

That hire has been horrible since the start. He is supposedly building a culture. But the first thing he did was let Rodgers go (which is fine, if you have a plan) but then he brings in Fields, who he coached against for years. Fields is predictable horrible and they are 0-7. The defense is decent, but not good enough with all that talent. Meanwhile Glenn is just acting like he’s got this master plan. If it’s to tank and take a QB, next year is not the year to take a QB high. Even if it was, I wouldn’t let him coach him. The Jets hired Robert Salah again and are expecting a different result. 1 Quote

I think McDaniels has got the most out of Tua that anybody could, but he's just not good enough and that was apparent today. Terrible pocket awareness and choices at times. He should know better by now, just not good enough That was the fatal mistake...now you have a $55 million paperweight at QB while 2 other division opponents have franchise guys. 1 Quote
Gregg Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We have a Wilson update. It's over at this point. I doubt he will be in the league much longer. #Dolphins QB Zach Wilson is inactive today as the QB3, with rookie Quinn Ewers serving as the new backup to Tua Tagovailoa vs. the #Browns. Wilson, the former No. 2 overall pick, signed a $6M deal with Miami this offseason. pic.twitter.com/JJkkSkTZWc — Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) October 19, 2025 Quote

Yes, I heard a lot of "Look out for the Jets. Things are going to change because the Jets got a guy from a well run organization who is going to bring about a culture change." At the time, I thought "Isn't that EXACTLY what they said when Salah was hired?" 2 Quote
