One way the org could keep McDermott (if we fall way short this year) & make the fanbase happy is to bring in a real DC, with his own schemes & strategies, and let him run w/ it.  McD can be HC and set the overall gameplan & culture, but it wouldn't be his defense.

They had that already. Contrary to TBD consensus, the Tampa 2/soft zone was a Leslie Frazier thing and went out the door with him. And there have been major changes this year from last, with the Bills playing a lot more man coverage. The results may look the same, but the scheme is different.

This thread is so repetitive and waste of time.  Bill Cowher won his first and only SB after 10 seasons.  With this front office and coach turning the franchise from a laughingstock to a consistent power and media darling, no one is going nowhere anytime soon.  Give it a break.

Cowher didnt win until his 10th year with Big Ben but got there in his 3rd with Neil O’Donnell.

As much as I love Sean and Beane, I strongly believe that if we miss reaching the SB again we HAVE to move on. Things seem stagnant and nothing has changed when compared to last year.

I think Beane has done a disservice to Allen by not providing better targets especially when he could have instead of drafting crappy players (Landon Jackson, Bishop, Greg Rousseau, Basham, and that one CB that was traded to Dallas). Something has got to change. What do you guys think?

A common question since 2019. If not them then who?

People don't have big enough dreams lol

They think what we've been seeing is the ceiling but I think it's closer to the floor

..and Rex would have allowed us to achieve the ceiling we all want? If I'm dreaming it's bigger than the Rex we saw not the Rex the Jets saw. I get the McD hate, I don't get the Rex love.

😂😂I don't love rex Ryan

I'm saying I think he would have taken this team further

It seems highly drafted WRs are nearly as big of a bust as highly drafted QBs.

They've tried virtually everything- draft, trades, free agency on WRs. Nothing has really planned out.

McDermott should have been gone after the 2023/2024 season. Shocking to read, yeah? We reached the AFC Title game once again vs. Chiefs. Some of us knew that we were gonna lose and we were proven right.

That game was so close. It was winnable. And McDermott's Milkshake Meltdown Defense happened again.

Beane shouldn't be fired just yet even when we get eliminated from playoffs this season. He built a great o-line and been doing a fantastic job maintaining that. Yeah, he sucks on finding defensive talent and wide receivers. Every GM has their flaws though.

Our O-line still needs maintenance and new talent. Beane knows how to do that. We got to protect MVP Superstar QB at all cost and our defense will never be able to block for Josh Alien.

Way I see it too.. thankful for the culture and picking this thing up from being a dumpster fire, but you have to begin to wonder have we reached our peak with this outfit? We have lost to the same team what three times now in the playoffs and if I were betting today I would take the chiefs again in a playoff game over us

at what point do we as fans and the owner get to say thank you but the goalposts are shifting from being respect able and good, to elite, championship

it truly feels like we are operating under insanity, doing  the same thing over and over, and expecting a different  outcome. Josh Allen as good as he is, cannot beat better coaching and better talent nor should he be required to

They have been close for 5 years, what about now gives you hope that anything has changed… this message you posted is insanity, we been hearing how close they are for half a decade now

I have concerns considering the bolded lol

But McBeanes have been making plenty of Coaching changes and trying to adjust. It is not the same thing over and over again

How's KC doing? Reid and Mahomies

and we win against every team excepting the Pats and Vrabel who is relatively new

On any Sunday.

devil is in the Details here.

last week was not Allens best game and he will to tell you as much. We live and die by Him :)

The perfect time to make a change was 2021, right after 13s.  But the teflon man had unlimited support by fans and Pegula. Meanwhile we wasted 4 more years of Josh's younger production since then.  Countless failed defensive draft picks.  The Von Miller debacle. Our defense is injury riddled every year. We've had plenty of opportunities to go after other experienced coaches but we continue with our own personal groundhogs day.

regardless of McD I've always felt that the biggest mistake made after Daboll left was not bringing in proven coodinators on both sides.

Leslie might have had some faults but at the same time he knew what he was doing.

having a superbowl team and qb and then bringing in pewee coaches is a crime.

Not sure I'd be fully on board with firing beane and McDermott, but I might be on board with new coordinators. This defense has just never improved going back to Fraizer. I mean, we all remember 13 seconds, or the Bengal playoff game with guys litterally playing 10 yards off the Los. It goes on and on. I don't think it'd be terrible to bring in someone that would completely flips the tables and do something completely different

How many season with Babich and Brady calling plays . I ferget things

and how far are we in to the Long asd Season 😋

I can see that happening.

I suggest there is no way Terry makes any changes before the Bills move into the new stadium.  I could see Sean changing DC's again if this poor play continues.

I disagree, because of Josh what gets invested at WR almost always gets paid back with interest. The problem is since trading for Diggs the only significant investment we made at WR is Keon 4 years later after Diggs left.

Yes we have signed people like old man Manny Sanders, Samuel, and now Josh Palmer. But there was a reason they were all available as free agents. They are not good.

Amari Cooper was basically retired last year when we traded for him and is retired this year.

Get serious and trade for a good, non-geriatric WR. Or spend several draft picks filling the room with talent. They won’t all hit but you have to take more than one chance. Beane has failed with that since 2020.

One of them should; neither of them will. They will be here for Josh’s entire career in Buffalo and only get fired after they go 2-15 following Allen’s departure.

This right here.

Bookmark it.

Only slim chance we have to get them out of town is if Josh Allen goes to Terry himself, and newsflash, he won’t.

Beane and McDermott are here for the rest of Josh’s career.

McD has 90 Wins, chasing down Marv. Ninety is a lot of Ws in 8+ years. Of course, the Chicken & Egg question is how many would he have WITHOUT 17? Or more appropriately, who is most responsible for the 90?

He is also #51 in All Time Win Records. Here comes one of those weird Stat flips things. By winning percentage, McD rises to #16 All Time, ahead of yes… #19 Andy Reid and #21 Billy B!

Does anyone, for even a nanosecond second, believe McDermott is a better HC than the guy who steals his lunch every year and made him look like a buffoon in 13 seconds?

Would anyone EVER think he belongs in the same time zone, some would say, planet, as Billy Boy- who thought up every coaching trick on the planet outside of the Tush Push?

Of course not. That was a conjuring trick. McD is a decent person, with admirable traits. But, I simply don’t believe he can get the job done, especially if he has to make a quick 50/50 decision on timing, personnel, challenge or TOs!

I just don’t.

As for Beane, investing ALL your eggs in one basket, without one star yet, including choosing TWO guys with PEDs, is piss poor. Yeah, he could have chosen a dead draft pick guy I suppose 🙄, but now we’re stuck with plugging several holes with fill ins and #17 doesn’t have a WR in the Top 25, let alone ONE who can get separation!

One of the greatest talented players in NFL history is being wasted here by Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dumb Dumb.

Giant facts. Just wait till Hailey sees it. Allen goes to LA with a seasoned mcvay and wins 2

I have, and am, a Coach Sean supporter. Unfortunately from what I have seen this year  I believe that he has lost the narrative.

The "Process" was discipline, 1/11, be the best version of yourself.

But this team is sloppy, undisciplined out of position, poor tackles and underperformed.

I am concerned,  and I am concerned with our QB as well

Where's the stats??  LOL

Just Google the coaching careers of the Jet's, Giants, Miami, Throw Buffalo in there for past 25 years,  Cleveland, Jax, Indy just to name a few.  Bengals should be on the list but Mike Brown was too cheap to ever fire Lewis.   These teams would hir a coach, 3 or 4 years later team is no better so fire the next one.  These were teams that didn't have good records to start with so the ability to improve is pretty large.  In the case of the Bills now, the window to improve is very small based on how they've already done.
