Were a WR upgrade away from having an unstoppable Offense.  The only weakness we have is at outside WR.  That’s it.  We’re above average to elite everywhere else. 
 

Defense could use a DT, DE, LB, S and CB2.  We have Hoecht and Ogunjobi coming back, along with whatever Hairston can be.  And while CB2 has to be addressed, we’re not a CB2 away from fixing this.  
 

Give the Offense what it needs to be elite and change the philosophy on Defense to be a boom or bust unit.   No more of this 7-8 minute drive ending in a TD garbage that both shortens the game and results in a touchdown.  Take chances, knowing this team is Offense driven.  

It’s the best chance we have to win this year and then hope and pray Hairston can get on the field at some point and/or we find a CB2 before the deadline. 

I completely agree with this.  Our defensive model is to give up 23 (two TD, three FG), force one to two punts, and get one to two turnovers, and to compliment a highly efficient offensive scheme.  Get a little riskier and either get the stops or get the ball back more quickly.  We also play too friggin slow on the other side of the ball.  I understand the thought process, but it makes it hard to get in rhythm when things are tough.

Play Cook and Johnson together in the backfield and use them in the passing game

Bench the first guy who makes a stupid penalty like not covering the tackle

At the end of the day, Bills never were going 17-0 and it's very rare that a team of Buffalo's caliber will play well and lose.

 

This game is exactly what it was: inevitable. 
 

Dust yourself off, learn, and on to the next one. 
 

I feel bad for the Falcons, Bills record after a loss since 2020 is excellent.

Williams has been terrible this year. He gets fooled on every play, has no feel for coverage, and makes way too many mistakes.

Why isnt Brady calling passing plays to the RBs?  We should throw to our RBs often.  Cook, Ty, and Ray all have good hands, and all 3 excelled last year.  Ty made an amazing catch in playoffs to save our season!  Enough with the trick plays Brady,  Get the ball to the RBs in space!

I think he plays instinctively and that’s what I want. That’s how you play fast. I think he gets into trouble trying to fit into whatever this horseshit scheme asks him to do. Maybe if a few more guys got down hill instead of skating backwards, we’d hit a RB before he got to the secondary

Brady's system is exquisite when everything works.  When it doesn't, he goes to the too-cute-by-half stuff, then sticks with it.

I dont agree with the Gore point at all. People are calling for Gore because of his name, that’s it. He played halfway decent against 3rd stringers and practice squad guys. Just because we don’t see them play doesn’t mean the coaches don’t. If he was good enough, he would be in. They make their 3rd round rookie inactive every week, you think they wouldn’t do that to their 4th round rb if they had someone better?

There's not much to change.

 

Our defense is reliant on guys who were in their prime 5 years ago to be stars. And some of them are hurt.

 

We are reliant on rookies who are basically all looking...well like rookies and young players.

 

Our talent pipeline from 2018 to 2024 was very poor.  2022 was a good year, but the rest not so much.  We don't have a ton of experienced good guys to replace the old guys who are aging out.

 

Here are players on the active roster drafted from 2018 to now that are contributing.

 

Josh, Taron, Ed, Knox, AJE, Rousseau, Brown, Hamlin, Cook, Benford, Bernard, Shakir, Kincaid, Dorian, OCT, Coleman, Bishop, Ray Davis.

 

That's not a real murderer's row of talent. Taron was excellent but has fallen off a cliff.

Exactly. If the guys get open Josh will throw them the ball. Not saying he never fails to see one, all QBs do. But the primary reason he is checking down is guys not being open deep.

Did you watch the all 22 yet to confirm this?  I don’t like to comment on the separation unless I’ve watched the all-22.  The tv camera doesn’t tell the whole story.  My buddy said he saw guys open (didn’t specify if any were deep) while Josh was navigating in the pocket prematurely on several occasion, although I didn’t see it with my own eyes

I can say, from the stadium, guys were BLANKETED. My whole section was going nuts. He missed a couple of guys but he was getting to his 4th and 5th read at times!! The tape will not be kind to the WRs. It was really, really bad.
