Then we would stand the chance of having to play both of them. If they finish 2 and 3 and we are 1, we wouldn’t face one of them, if at all, until the AFC title game. 1 Quote
Success Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Things can change - but up to this point in the Allen era, we've had the Ravens #, and the Chiefs have had our #. The Ravens all day in this one. I would love to see the Chiefs navigate a low seed/WC berth this season. Quote
RyanC883 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 the Ravens worry me more than anyone given how they match up against us. 1 Quote
SF Bills Fan Posted September 23 Posted September 23 A tie. And when Jackson and Mahomes go in for the postgame hug, they somehow break each other throwing arms. 1 Quote

In my opinion, the Ravens have a better chance of beating Buffalo at Highmark Stadium in January, than the Bills have of winning at M&T Bank Stadium in January. So for that reason alone, I'd rather see Baltimore stack up some regular season losses so they always remain well behind us. Kansas City is going to be in a dogfight this year to make the Wild Card. They should get in but they won't be cake walking their way in. 1 Quote
All_Pro_Bills Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Ravens over Chiefs. The teams next 2 games are Ravens with Houston and LA Rams. Chiefs have Jacksonville and Detroit. So best case for the Bills here is Chiefs are 2-4, Ravens 3-3 after 6 games and with the Bills schedule they have an opportunity to go 6-0 if everything plays out close to perfect. 1 Quote
Brand J Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I think there’s some serious underestimation of the Chiefs. You know, that team that has been in 5 of the last 6 SBs? 7 straight AFCCG appearances? They’re not missing the playoffs, folks. I’d rather they win their division, if they’re a 6 or 7 seed (not likely IMO) there’s a strong chance they’ll be coming to Buffalo in the divisional round. 1 1 Quote
bigK14094 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 A tie would hurt both teams in the playoff picture! (I think) Quote

I don't mind the Bills offense vs the Ravens defense as that is a good battle. But it's the Ravens offense vs the Bills defense that is a problem. It seems like they go up and down the field on the Bills very easily. Unless the Bills D gets a turnover, the Ravens seem to score almost all the time. Edited September 23 by Gregg Quote
Special K Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) At first I was leaning Chiefs, but I have been convinced by this thread that giving the Ravens their 3rd loss is better. The Bills can hand the Chiefs another loss by beating them in Buffalo. Edited September 23 by Special K Quote
skibum Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Ravens have a better shot at home-field advantage if they win. Chiefs have a harder schedule moving forward, so I'm less worried about there being a Bills playoff game in KC. So I'd like to see the Ravens get another loss. It will also stoke more anxiety for them, in that they can't figure out how to beat the Bills or the Chiefs, no matter how good they are. Quote

That’s where I’m at. Not really sure who I want to win, planning to just enjoy the game and see if I start pulling for one over the other. Do think the Ravens are more likely to win. Kind of want to see them spank the Chiefs, just to prove that the Chiefs are going to struggle to even make the playoffs. We know the Ravens are talented. It’s better for the Bills if only one of these teams is a true challenger. 1 1 Quote
notpolian Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Can't go wrong, one of them is going to win and one lose barring an unlikely tie. I'd rather have the Ravens win just to slightly insert the wooden stake in the Chiefs. Both teams probably make the playoffs and we already have the tiebreaker on the Ravens. If KC loses, there is a small but nonzero chance they miss the playoffs altogether. I'm all for that. 1 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I think the thing that we aren’t all on the same page about is where the Bills end up. I’m thinking 14-3 at this point. If that’s the case, neither team is the competition for the 1 seed. That’s the Bills top priority. At 14-3, Baltimore would have to win every single game, including this week to finish ahead of the Bills. That’s not happening. I would say, the next biggest priority would be these 2 teams missing the playoffs. Personally, I think Baltimore goes regardless of the outcome of this game. They still likely win their division. The Chiefs still have a shot but I think that they are definitely the less likely of the 2 to get there with a loss. For context, both teams are currently 1-2. The Chiefs are -200 to make the playoffs and the Ravens are -1200. I am so bullish on th Bills record, I’m not worried about having to go to KC or Baltimore. I just don’t think it’s realistic. LA, maybe but they’re too far out on the others, especially Baltimore because they need to finish a game ahead of the Bills, not tied (assuming only 2 teams have the same record). It’s about avoiding playing them now vs. potentially having to go on the road and missing the bye. The Bills are -175 for the bye currently. 2 Quote
Gregg Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Beat NO at 1:00 so when this game starts at 4:25 we can sit back and watch this game with no worries if the Bills have a nice 4-0 record next to their name. 3 Quote
wjag Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) All I know is one will be 1-3 and that could not have been predicted at the beginning of the season.. The fact that the Cheats have a genuine concern about repeating as division champs is marvelous. Edited September 23 by wjag 2 Quote

Of the BAL and KC, KC has the better chance for the one seed primarily cause they have not played us yet and have more control of their destiny. Thus im rooting for KC to get another L. 1 Quote
Max Fischer Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Bills benefit either way. I like the idea of the Chiefs winning because I don't want the Ravens to win their division and potentially have a slightly easier schedule. Meanwhile, the Chargers would already have a 2.5-game lead on the Chiefs, who still have to face the Bills, Broncos twice, and the Chargers. However, there are plausible scenarios that each team will make the playoffs and possibly win their division. Quote
