Einstein Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I haven’t had a chance to go back and watch and won’t have much free time until Sunday. For those who have, what happened to the run game in the second half? We went from gashing them for 5-10 yards per run in the first half, to getting very little traction in the second half. 1 1 1 Quote

They were trying to kill the clock and didn't mix it up enough. It started getting to be a handoff to Cook on 1st & 2nd. And they started stuffing the run on the 2nd down. DapperCam Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Miami started run blitzing, Bills didn't really adjust. 1 2 Quote
FireChans Posted September 19 Posted September 19 The Dolphins run blitzed us all half and dared us to beat them over the top. 1 1 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 They got into a 50 front covering up the Bills offensive line and creeping the Safety down in the box. They essentially committed 8 men in the box on early downs then went soft shell in passing situations. Brady should have gone more playaction in the 2nd half in my opinion on 1st down 4 6 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Miami adjusted as you'd expect, the Bills didnt counter-adjust. A lot of that game last night seemed like the Bills were trying to get away with only showing a very vanilla game plan. 2 2 Quote

Yeah, they called and executed that game very conservatively on both sides of the ball. I looked at it more like a don't beat yourself sort of gameplan vs a team that you clearly outclass, but they may have also been making a conscious decision to keep things close to the vest. 2 Quote

Probably also related to the short week (keep things as simple as possible). 3 2 Quote
Dillenger4 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 We pounded them at will, when we wanted to and then took a vanilla approach to each down. It was a classic beatdown on shakedown street. Quote

BillsShredder83 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Seems as good a place as any.... is Ray Day hurt? . He did not have a good pre-season for what thats worth. Even so, pretty shocking to me to see 0 carries for him last night! Only 3 handoffs to RB's not named Cook last night though, so they mustve went in knowing they needed a big day from him specifically Quote

No need to do that now. Quote

Governor Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Miami started thrashing our OL. I saw our guys flat on their backs multiple times, Hawes once also. They brought everything the had. Quote
