The segment is, quite frankly, the opposite of what I envision as “fun”.  First and foremost, I hate predictions.  Especially by people who have less info than most of us.  Secondly, I consider all predictions, prognostications, or general ***** talking to be super jinxy and I will not be the reason the Bills lose any given week.

There is no way we are going on a 2 game losing streak to Bucs and Houston IMHO.  Doubt we lose either one TBH, certainly won't lose Houston.  Bucs are good but not great.  Can we lose each, sure -- and while I will conceed its hard to win every week and great teams lose winnable games they should win every year, I don't see how we go on a mid season losing streak against a mediocre Texans team at best, and a solid but not great Bucs team.  We will be coming off our bye, should be heatlhy and have all our suspended guys back.  I think we will be playing some of our best football of the year in this stretch.  

 

Honestly this team might be undefeated going into the final 2 weeks where our starters play very little with the 1 seed locked up.  But, any team can lose on any given Sunday, so wouldn't surprise me to see a young upstart Pats team pull off an upset in one of our meetings, or drop a game to like the Bucs.  But, I can't see us winning less than 13 games, and I personally think we might see a 15+ win season.

That place always seems to be a house of horrors for the Bills, though. It wouldn't surprise me if we had a dud in that game

Wgr550 is the bills flag station. Does pre and post game as well as sports talk around Buffalo sports.

 

Their morning guys, Jeremy and Joe maybe? Do a segment with Howard simon, a long time bills radio guy. 

 

The afternoon they have bulldog and shop. I don't listen to the afternoon guys. They usually sound like they just got done with a bender and raging against some shadow argument they're mad at

Appreciate it. I had fun listening to WGR when I was in town for my stadium construction site tour last month. Not sure I could take a steady diet of it. It got pretty old after a long weekend. 
 

We have similar stations in Los Angeles. Listening to hour after hour of the debate between the strengths of Kobe and LeBron is downright nauseating.

I like the segment because I get to hear Howard and he seems like a genuniely good dude. Not because I like the segment in any way, shape, or form. 

 

They could definitely use with a pivot from this schtick to another one that serves as a reason to get him in the studio once in a while.

It sort of like the Jets. The Bills are better but don't match up well vs them for some reason.

Funky things happen in the NFL, its an away game too. I doubt that's gonna happen but there is going to be one "funky" loss on the schedule, happens to almost every team every year.

Like most of Shredd and Regan’s offerings nowadays, Howard picks the Bills has grown stale and played out IMO. I used to be entertained by it, but now it’s right up (down) there with the annual Halloween candy draft

For whatever reason, the bills always seem to have some kind of bone headed losses every year. Last year it was Baltimore (great team obviously, but bills just got anhilated). There seems to be one or 2 games every season this happens since McDermott has been here. I'm super curious which game that's gonna be this year. I could see maybe the Falcons or bucs.

SoCal, you know this is a reply to Howard Simon picks the Bills on WGR.  Retired, but does this bit on Tuesday mornings around 8:30am.  I agree we will beat the Bengals whether Burrow was playing or not.

For the person that took this seriously, Howard’s been doing this bit for more than a decade and even his promo is just “this is just for fun”.  It’s not meant to be Nostradomous.  I get a kick out of it and take it in stride.

Thanks….the OP explained it. I’m not sure why anyone has a problem with this kind of rolling/evolving forecast. It makes a lot of sense to me. Why stick with your preseason predictions instead of adjusting them based on performance, injuries, trades, etc.? I’ve always thought that momentum and other factors have a HUGE factor on the week to week outcomes. For example, at the end of the year it’s really important if a team has already clinched a playoff spot or home field advantage.
