Dorian played pretty well last year that I’m not really worried about him filling in for Milano. To be honest, I kind of expected it at some point this season.

Really strange hearing it's a pectoral injury. Sure seems like he pulled up with a hamstring injury. Wondering if he has both going on. Milano is a walking injury. There's no way he's a Bill next year and if he surprised if he can contribute much this year. He was a very good player for a while.

For what it’s worth Banged Up Bills showed a picture of Milano post game with  no sling. Estimating a few weeks..

Williams had a few good moments last season, but I can’t say he played well. He is a still liability more often than not as poor recognition, gullibility on play fakes, and over-pursuit continue to plague him.

I know it's early in the season and we probably don't need to do it yet, but down the stretch if we haven't added one or two top tier pieces to this team, then I genuinely don't believe we're going to win it all. When you're as close as we are and as close as we have been, you should be willing to do anything and everything to get over the hump. I pray we see this from Beane eventually this season. 

Teams don’t trade elite top tier pieces mid season.

Dorian has not been good really ever in Buffalo.

 

It would be nice for the light to come on ASAP but based on what I’ve seen, I doubt it.

Glass half full, I’d rather have a healthy Milano late in the season. If he’s gonna have an injury, now is the time.

Bernard missed 2 games with a pec injury (partial tear) last year.  He was pretty ineffective his first game back then improved (IMO looked good 4 weeks out from the injury)  There was criticism of his play as not being as strong as 2023 the rest of the season, dunno if the pec was an influence.  My guess more likely to be the ankle injury he suffered a few weeks later, that would slow him down and, if he was taking painkillers to deal could have slowed him mentally.

 

Milano had a partial tear in 2020 and tried to come back after 2 games.  He sucked, and was placed on IR for 3 games (could be 3 games in 2020) before being phased back in on a snap count and playing well in the playoffs.

Feliciano had a bad tear requiring surgery in preseason in 2020 and missed 7 games on IR but when he came back he started and played 100% of the snaps

It just depends, but it seems pretty clear you in fact don't want a guy to be out for too few games, you want to let it heal.

Okereke would be absolutely amazing. I still remember that 10-9 game against the Giants from a few years ago where Taron Johnson interfered with Waller on the last play of the game. Okereke was all over the field. Dude balls out every time I've seen him play.

Just a note that Banged Up isn't down with the 2020 details.  Milano missed 2 games with a partial pec tear, tried to come back the 3rd game with a linebacker brace, and was pretty much totes ineffective - couldn't lift his arm to tackle.  At that point the Bills pulled the plug and put him on IR to let him heal for 3 weeks, then brought him back on a snap count where he was only playing 30% of the snaps initially.

The first problem is: what is their price?  Who you wanna ship out?

The second problem is: quality LB have contracts.  How we fit their contract in under our non-existant cap?

 

I don't think we're gonna be shopping at Anthropologie or Saks 5th avenue for that quality linebacker.
