How come Josh’s stats were so pedestrian? 148 passing yards on 5.9 YPA, only 56% completion percentage, and no TDs. I’m sure he was good cause he’s always good but gaudy stats always help MVP cases. He did what he needed to do, not more, not less. The Jets actually did a pretty good job against the receivers, but there was room to run, so they did. 1 Quote

He was 18/45 (40%) for 220 yards with 1 TD and 2 INT which was good for a 44.7 Rating. His career numbers give him a 58.7% completion percentage and 66.1 Rating. I missed a good part of the first quarter. I think the first quarter was the worst, statistically, for Allen passing the ball. I also missed Josh's big run. Quote

Then gets killed by the elite QBs. Its been that way since year 1 under McDermott. Beane gave him more pieces to work with this year. The young defenders on the DL looked good. Young DL players take time to develop. Tre looked like he was moving as good as he was pre ACL. Bosa looks like the complimentary edge rusher they have needed for years! Rapp and Bishop didnt embarass themselves this week. Tua, Waddle, Achane, and Hill will present a tougher test. I like our DL against Miami OL though. I really like our OL against their defense. Look for another 200 yard rush effort! They are? It’s been 2 games and do either sanders or walker even have a tackle? A pressure? Not hitting panic button but I don’t think it’s crazy to ask them to do produce something. And that’s with Oliver not playing today 1 1 Quote

Game script reasons. The run game was working well all day and they never gave us a reason to abandon it. And then it became apparent by the middle of the 3rd quarter that the Jets offense was a dud so once we put up 30 we stopped trying. There were some struggles early on but whenever the offense needed to sustain a drive we made it look easy. The whole offense looked bored honestly. 1 1 Quote

The only time We lose to these guys is when we press and get too aggressive and turn the ball over (and make ST gaffes). We have learned from past experiences. Nothing was forced downfield. 2 Quote
wjag Posted Monday at 01:08 AM Posted Monday at 01:08 AM My random musing after that welcome snoozefest: 1. Really expected a much tougher game against the Jets. 2. For all you folks who said let Cook walk, don't pay him. How ya feeling now? 3. The Bills just ground the Jets down. 4. Joey Bosa was a game wrecker today. 5. Tre White held up. 6. Walker and Sanders did their job. 7. The Jets in NY give Josh fits. Today was no different. 8. Called a broken nose as soon as he left the field after getting hit on the tackle. 9. Nice to see Moore involved in the game plan. 10. LBs seemed to redeem themselves. 11. Does anyone want Bass back at this point? Anyone? Bueller? 12. I actually turned the game off at the mid-4th and watched a very entertaining end to the Pats and Finns. 2 1 1 Quote
