Banged Up Bills on Twitter is saying the mechanism of the injury (foot stepped on) likely means it isn't too severe and the timeframe to return shouldn't be too long. Banged up Bob says Ed looked his gif horse in the mouth and got a sole clap for his insolence. 1 Quote

At what other position could they sacrifice? OL maybe? 33 minutes ago, NewEra said: Would be a waste of a promotion imo. Each player gets 3 Agreed. We don't generally go with 5 active at DT. That's why we didn't bring anyone up when Carter went down. Carter would have been inactive so it didn't change much. What I do find interesting though is Logue is thought of as a 1T. So I assumed they'd bring up Phillips to step in at 3T alongside Sanders. My guess is that since Walker is like Phillips in that he plays more like a 3T in a 1T body that he'll be used more as a 3T this week. With Sanders and Walker at 3 and Jones and Logue at 1 - with some mixing and matching due to flexibility amongst some of the guys, depending on the situation. It'll be interesting to see who gets more snaps this week between Sanders and Walker, with Oliver down. Walker along side Jones would provide some serious beef up front for the Jets rushing attack. Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) Sad but this has been the story of Oliver's career. Dominat in a game or two, then gets dinged up and misses time or plays ineffectively while injured. He flashes brilliant play then disappears. I know this is a fluke but its happened pretty much every year. Just start Sanders this week and let him show what he has. Edited September 12 by Ethan in Cleveland 1 1 1 1 Quote

Einstein Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Didn't the Jets get Harrison Phillips for a 7th or something? Quote

EmotionallyUnstable Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I wonder what the circumstances around being stepped on entail? My guess is that he was almost stepped on in a way that rolled it, not a puncture or bruising that is keeping him out Quote

He had his big game, he was going to be invisible for the next 3 weeks anyway, so it’s not much different. Now that’s sarcasm (sort of) because Ed is a solid player at baseline and has flashes of greatness. If he could ever consistently play like he did week 1, the “good, but not top 10 pick” label could be dropped. 1 1 1 Quote

That should be everyone's game plan until we can prove capable of stopping the run. Justin Fields isn't Lamar, but he's just as capable of running the ball as Lamar is. The Jets are just going RPO all day, and without Oliver, we're in real pain. 1 Quote

He wasn’t noticed to be limping after practice although IDK the access non Bills employees had and Bills are very tight lipped. Whatever the cause, just another chapter where Ed has a big game then disappears for one reason or another for weeks at a time. Just keep him off the field until he’s 100%. Things happen, come up through practice. He got stepped on, friendly fire type of deal,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on Friday. " Quote
