Should have scored at the end

Much better that he didn’t. Pretty much guaranteed the W and yielded no last chance for Lamar.

Also - Keon got a lot of hype in the preseason. Everyone from Josh to Fitz was saying how much he had improved and how impressive he looked. It’s really nice to see him live up to it right out of the gate. He gave Josh an outlet and showed great hands, focus, and body control at the catch. Good for him, he should be proud!

Keon made two huge catches on 4th dow! Game over if Keon does not those plays.  Keon looks like a # 1 WR

Keon had 10 targets in the 4th quarter.

Keons post game conference he was very mature, focused, humble, and hungry.   Im very impressed with Keon.

Dalton had a nice game.  He made several nice blocks.  It’s great to see him score.  Dalton made some tough catches.

Hi!

Guy who preferred other receivers to Keon Coleman in that draft here.

Keon had a great game! Seems like he gad a great camp, too!

He's a very likable guy and he's very athletically gifted and has size you can't teach. The very best thing that could happen to the Buffalo Bills offense is if Keon becomes a reliable and legitimate #1 WR. Last night was a great first step. Given that he's a Buffalo Bill and seems like such a great young man, I will be rooting very hard for him throughout the duration of his career, and I'm thrilled he had such a great game.

It is okay to have different personnel preferences than your favorite football team sometimes. It feels great when the team or the player in question proves you wrong, but doesn't invalidate the idea of having one's own preferences that are sometimes different than those of the team.

Signed,
Guy who has his own preferences, preferred other receivers in the draft, but roots for everyone wearing a Bills jersey no matter what

No one is a Keon hater today. It's stupid to act like there is.

He was legitimately awful last year all around, and in week one he came in and looked like a better player than he's ever been in his life. Props to him for putting in the work and putting together the kind of turnaround you hardly ever see at the WR position.

For those saying he was crap for 3 quarters because of his yardage total - well watch the game again.  He was open and didn't get the ball several times during those 3 quarters and also our play calling was crap through 3 quarters as well.

For example - 3rd and goal, Allen had Keon on the left for 6 when he beat his guy off his cut.  Allen threw short to his left instead and didn't see Keon and we settled for a FG.

Our offense didn't find a rhythm until the 4th quarter, and there were a lot of terrible 2nd and 3rd down calls that killed drives, caused 3 and outs, etc.

This was the most yards by a Buffalo WR since...

...

...

...Keon last year in week 7.

I will give you that he was pretty bad after the injury, but before the injury, the previous 5 full games after his 1st quarter benching for being late in week 3, he was on an 1100 yard season pace.  He had started coming on and building more momentum including a 125 yard game in week 7.  So he wasn't awful the whole year last year even though he was pretty bad after injury.

Still this is one game, he didn't cement anything yesterday either.  But this is a great start and looks a lot more like the guy we saw those 5 weeks before the injury who has taken another step forward.

The jokes on the ravens tonight, had alexander not tripped up Keon the time would have probably expired before he reached the endzone.

Reminds me of Fred Jackson getting tackled just short of the goal line against the Patriots in 2011.  We were able to get the points without giving the ball back to Brady.

I wouldn’t call myself a hater but I wouldn’t call myself a lover either. I thought he could be a good player but not an elite playmaker, but I do think it’s obvious at this point that he has elite playmaker potential and Josh is clearly taking a liking to him as well which doesn’t hurt his chances..

Beane was drafting specific traits. Taking 35 seconds to run from the 20yd line to kneeing it at the one. Yeah.. Beane knew

I don’t know if Coleman made any great plays per se.  He didn’t catch that fade/2pt.  Dropped an early screen pass (no big deal).  But he was out there catching passes is scramble drill.

The TD was a great play.  It wasn’t a great pass by Josh….but Keon gifted him a TD with a heady extremely clutch play on 4th down.  He doesn’t catch it- game is over

Think Keon could be a solid #2 or 3 but he is not a #1 receiver

Not sure how you can say he’s not a #1.

Not today, sure.

But later this year or next?  He does have potential.

If Keon develops into the WR1 that he showed glimpses of last night and Dalton plays like a 1st round TE, we will officially have a deep room of pass catchers.

unlikely, because he'd still be on his way to the endzone ;)

it's like Brady realized it was no longer preseason in the 4th quarter.  not sure why he kept calling runs up the middle routinely on 2nd and 3rd down against the Ravens D.

Dalton and Knox both played really well I thought.  And it was nice seeing Dalton look more like himself rather than the injured shell last year.

It was a solid performance, hopefully he can build on it. I already said I hope I’m wrong about him and he goes for 1200 yds an 10+ TDs obviously.

The way people care about being “right” is so weird.  We all have our opinions, but nobody was rooting against Keon so the whole premise of this thread is kinda obtuse. If I’m not mistaken, we’re all fans of the same team and we all would like nothing more than for Keon Coleman to be an all pro hall of fame WR.

Victory Monday after a historic opening day win, and your thought was “lemme start a (wayyyy to early) I told you so thread about Keon Coleman”??? I guess we all celebrate in our own special way…

Yeah I was kind of mystified as to why we didn't test the boundary corners more earlier. It worked great in the two minute drill

Yep I was at that game and it was perfect scenario except we could call a timeout. Felt just like that in many ways including the comeback

belicheck was flipping on the sidelines that Jackson scored
