Still smiling this AM.  KC practices fratricide.  Last year Mahomes took out Rice and this year Kelce took out Worthy.

Chris Jones blew the Chief's chance for a comeback.  With 2:15 Chiefs had not timeouts left and Chargers had 3rd and 12.  If they stop them, Mahomes gets the ball with 2 minutes down 6 and we've all seen that movie before.  Chargers decided to pass, and the RT stayed wide, and so Jones cut inside him to go for the sack and lost contain and there was NOBODY on that side of the field.  Herbert ran for like 17 yards.  First down, victory formation.  As they came out of the 2 minute timeout they showed shots of Tranquill giving Jones an ear full and Jones jawing back at him.

and Tranquil gave him an earful about it too.

Whats this mean if the bills don't win Sunday night, that they are dead and their season is over also lol

I wouldn’t say the chiefs are done by any means but they got straight up dominated by a pretty good division opponent and have a bunch of actually tough games coming up…I don’t think the score was a good indicator of how one sided those on the field matchups were.the chargers did their vintage can’t put a team away late thing but this time they were the better team by such a large margin it didn’t matter

that is completely different than losing to probably the best team on your schedule and second best roster in the league which would be the deal if the bills lost

KC has battled some injuries in the regular season as of late.. and then they all come back for the postseason, Chiefs somehow get the Bye week to rest up… rinse and repeat.

Yep. Thanks for the sane post.

My biggest take away from last night's game was this FG. How many special team units in the league could have executed this?

That was super impressive.

I'm sorry. As much as I despise the Chiefs, that was a thing of beauty.

Ended up watching after the game was over.

Rush mahomes and put helmets on him, completely ruins his game.  Yeah, he pulled out a few mahomes plays, but was harassed a lot. Take the game to him, not the other way around.

That said. It’s one game and doesn’t define the season. For either team. Hopefully, chefs keep losing, but don’t see that happening.

This was Justin Herbert’s best game as a pro. Hopefully this becomes a trend and the Chargers start giving the Chiefs a harder time in the division.

I understand the KC hate but there's no way any football fan should be rooting for a Jim Harbaugh team ( or Pete Carroll). Cheaters.

I missed that (and the game) and really, really would have enjoyed seeing it. Who was bickering?

When OT Jawaan Taylor committed his third penalty of the game, Kelce started jawing at him.

Later, All-World Chris Jones broke contain and let Herbert get outside for a crucial first down.  Jones and LB Drue Tranquill got into it after the play.

Reminded me of the Bickering Bills - but worse.  It's certainly not the kind of behavior you see on the current edition of the Bills.

The first game of the season and we're already seeing disunity on the Chiefs.  I think that's a good sign for us and, yeah, I think you would have enjoyed it.  I did.

I truly thought the Chiefs were going to win another one of their patented fluky victories.

After the Rams ran out of bounds at the end of the 1st half allowing the Chiefs enough clock to get their field goal…. And then when Mahomes completed the miracle long bomb on 4th down when the Rams lost coverage down field right near the end of the game. Normally all these small things add up to conspire for a Chiefs victory. But then Chris Jones happened.

There must be some code of honor in the NFL fraternity nowadays. I’ve never understood why opponents don’t do everything in their power to get under Kelce’s skin. He has tantrums on the field quite easily when things don’t go his way. We don’t see it often because things typically go in favor of KC. I’ve always thought annoying Kelce would be a good way to slow down his production, and maybe even get him tossed from a game. The NFL just doesn’t have the goon role like the older days.

Mahomes played his best individual game in 3 years imo.  Still trailed the whole way and not enough.  I feel like they are in trouble this season.  The 1 score game stat will regress to .500 and they will be a 10 win team.  Buffalo wins Sunday Night they win Home field.

If Kelce wants to take out his own players like he did Worthy,

Let Tay Tays Big Baby play I say🤷‍♂️

I agree and as much as I cannot stand the Chiefs that was superb. A hurry up FG!! But it just points out that if you have intelligent coaches and smart players you can pull these type of plays off that go against what most small brain NFL coaches would think possible.
