The cowboys had ZERO plan for hurts. The DEs took inside angles on almost every 3rd down. Hurts walked in both TDs cuz the DEs got washed down. Cowboys win the game if the DEs stayed in thier lanes.

Think the Dallas offense bears the brunt.   Turnover in the red zone and drops by Ceedee.   The Dallas d holding the SB champs to 24 in their house, pretty good.   I would take that as a Bills fan.   Sure as hell would take it about every year we played the Chiefs in the playoffs.

Thats the difference between a great QB and a good one.  
 

Take the lowest degree of difficulty play with the highest chance of success when you absolutely have to have it. 
 

Dak was not good in this game imo.  Not good enough.   
 

Pickens did nothing.  But you telling me he wasn’t getting open?

They win the game if Lamb catches any of those 3 passes that hit him straight in the hands. 

 

It's pretty hard to contain the QB when you're tied up at the line & your coverage is good downfield. We've seen other teams fail to do it with Josh many times over, even though they know it's coming. I agree that they could've done better, but like Allen & Lamar, he's a good scrambler.

 

The Cowboys D held the defending SB champs to just 3 points in the 2nd half, which should earn them some props for anchoring down. I can only imagine how much worse it might've been if Hurts was as good of a passer as Lamar though.

Gunner's first morning after thoughts of the year....

 

- having picked the Eagles in both survivor pools fresh from being out week 1 with the Bengals last year that was a nervy watch!

- I said in February I thought Howie Roseman was the most important man in the Eagles' Superbowl win and I think you saw a bit on defense last night how much the Eagles success is about talent. Down a number of their guys they really didn't stop Dallas at all until the 4th Quarter. 

- I know AJ Brown has missed a lot of camp with a hamstring and he didn't look fully healthy but him getting one catch bears watching. He is going to demand a bigger role in that offense and take the one strike to Dotson out the Eagles really struggled to get their receivers going at all. 

- For Dallas rough night for CeeDee Lamb who dropped three very catchable balls that would have changed the outcome of this game in the second half.

- Dallas got away from the run that they had been having success with after the Miles Sanders fumble. In their final 17 offensive plays just three runs. I think in the cold light of day they may wish they'd stayed with it as their offensive line was winning that particular trench battle!

All three balls Lamb should have caught. I don't put that on Dak at all.

I thought the Cowboys exceeded expectations…I honestly think Lamb should be investigated…I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an NFL WR drop three balls in succession like that….

Agree, I also see him as the overly intense dad coaching Pop Warner.

Well the Cowboys looked better than I though they would and sadly they let Philly off the hook. As for Philly, What's worse than a team full of dbags? A team full of dbags with the swagger of winning the SB! Seriously what pro athlete spits on people? Oh yes Luis Suarez, but in the NFL? On the bright side he didnt bite anybody!  Finally, CD Lamb is an NFL receiver? The way he dropped the ball repeatedly last night, he looked like a high school kid learning to play with a helmet on for the first time. Just killer chokes on several plays for Dallas that lost them the game.

Just caught the Q4 highlights. Those throws by Dak on the final drive were ridiculous. Ceedee (and Sanders) cost them the game.

Dak was great.  Even before the Sanders fumble he hit Ferguson with a perfect pass that should have been a touchdown, but turned into a personal foul.  Then they didn’t end up scoring because of the fumble

Watching that game last night made me appreciate Matt Milano even more. How many times did Hurts burn the Cowboys with his legs for a TD or a first down?
