They showed him participating in most everything else, though. Didn't show his lower leg to know if he was wearing anything like a cast. Also didn't show him walking much to see if there was a limp, but didn't look like it. I thought he was next to Ty Johnson in line dancing footage - if so that is a good sign. Special K Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Would've liked to see something about Shavers finding out he made the 53......his reaction, his teammates reaction, etc. 2 2 Quote
Bruffalo Posted September 3 Posted September 3 That background song at the end went pretty hard. Ultimately the season was too safe to be memorable, but as fan it was enjoyable. Hopefully they live up to the lofty goals this season. Go Bills. Quote
estro613 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 HBO did a pretty lame job overall. A lot of fluff, a lot of meh, nothing really interesting or insightful. Watching the doc series on the Cowboys that was just recently released on Netflix shows you how far HBO Hard Knocks has fallen. The one on Netflix is so interesting and so we'll produced, it makes hard knocks look awful. I don't think I'd ever tune into it again 1 1 1 1 Quote

The Bills have final say on what goes into an episode and what ends up on the cutting room floor. Knowing how tightly knit this brass likes to keep everything, combined with the fact that they didn't even want to do the show in the first place - are you surprised we didn't get much? It's funny to me seeing a number of posters (not you specifically) who complained and worried about this being a distraction now complaining that the show lacked drama or anything of excitement. Of course it did. That was by design. The team wanted to make it as little of a distraction as possible, which is what people said they wanted. Edited September 3 by BillsFanForever19 7 2 Quote
RoscoeParrish Posted September 3 Posted September 3 A very milquetoast season. To echo @BillsFanForever19, that’s by design. But sheesh, what a bore. 2 Quote

They wanted culture and boring. To them, they released a masterpiece. Quote

Special K Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Jordan Phillips already making friends😂 Coming in hot on Ray Davis in his first practice......I wonder who that was that kept repeating "Are you serious!?!?!" Made me think of John McEnroe yelling at the chair ump at Wimbledon!(I know his line was "You can't be serious!!") Edited September 3 by Special K Quote

zow2 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I was getting a chill while Josh was describing the Bills SB parade in fine detail. What a sports tragedy it will be if he (we) never experience it with this version of the team. My only surprise from the series is they never featured Keon Coleman at all. He’s another goofball of sorts and a fun guy and not a peep from him. Maybe it’s good he’s all football this summer. 1 2 Quote

To them, they released a masterpiece. The one thing I don't get though is they must have had so much content that had nothing to do with drama/controvery/secrets that they chose not to use. They have hundreds of hours of guys mic'ed up - there had to be lots of fun/goofy stuff that wasn't dramatic or controversial - there seemed to be very little of even that. It's kind of amazing to me they didn't really even fully reveal the humor/goofiness of Josh, which is almost hard to do. In this last episode they end up filming parts of other interviews with Brandt and the Bills social media as their content? I still enjoy any Bills content, including this, but think it is a letting them off a bit easy to just say it was boring because the Bills didn't want any drama. Edited September 3 by stevewin Quote
