What's the difference between paying $7 million for a guy who never sees the field or eating the cap and giving his roster spot to someone who might contribute.   The money is basically wasted either way.   I'm hoping the Bills see him being more of a contributor this year

First off, it's more than 7m. It's over 8.6m.

And never sees the field? He missed a total of 3 games last season. 4 games over the last 3 years. He was used sparingly, as he battled turf toe to start the season - which like a hamstring is a kiss of death for WR efficiency.

And do you think that KJ Hamler or Laviska Shenault would see the field more than Curtis Samuel? No, Hamler or Shenault would be most likely inactive unless there were an injury.

Does Gore get snatched up by someone else or make it to our practice squad?

My hope is he choose the Bills PS over any other teams. Not sure I see any team putting in waivers to have him part of a 53. If they do, good for him!

The word "nuptials" sounds dirty to me.

And I think we all knew Shavers would make the 53.

"We all" doesn't seem to include a number of people here.

Been in the theatre.... I see Shavers made it. Do we think that means 6 receivers?

Yes

Were you one who lectured me on how great he was in Washington and Beane was a genius for stealing him in FA?

No, nobody said that.

You're just putting made up bull#### in people's mouths again to try to get over

The man sucks in rounds 1-3 but is great in 4-7 which makes him a decent GM. My biggest gripe with Beane is this team lacks blue chip talent and this is a biproduct of struggling to draft blue chip talent in premium rounds 1-3. Beane is struggling to build a great defensive line despite spending a lot of money and premium draft picks along the defensive line. Hopefully Beane hits on Jackson, Sanders, and Walker.

I have lost trust in him

Tell that to Eagles GM Howie Roseman and Ravens GM Eric DeCosta just to name a few teams who draft late like us every season. Unlike Beane, those GM's find blue chip talent way more than Beane does

I mean, since Beane showed up, this is what Howie Roseman has had to work with in Round 1…

2019 - Andre Dillard (22)

2020 - Jalen Reagor (21)

2021 - Devonta Smith (10)

2022- Jordan Davis (13)

2023 - Jalen Carter (9) and Nolan Smith (30)

2024 - Quinyon Mitchell (22)

Howie has picked high as often as he’s picked low, and has actually kind of sucked late. The blue chip guys were taken early.

Ravens in the same timeframe

2018 - Hayden Hurst (25) and Lamar Jackson (32)

2019 - Marquise Brown (25)

2020 - Patrick Queen (28)

2021 - Rashod Bateman (27) and Odafe Oweh (31)

2022 - Kyle Hamilton (14) and Tyler Linderbaum (25)

2023 - Zay Flowers (22)

2024 - Nate Wiggins (30)

Lamar and Flowers later in the draft surrounded by a bunch of crap or guys they moved on from, hardly blue chip. Hamilton was the top half of Round 1. Worth pointing out they opted for Hayden Hurst OVER Lamar Jackson with their original pick.

Have you even done research or you’re just throwing ***** to see what sticks?

Well, I like the depth at LB and DL. The receivers corps should be better with Shavers and Palmer, even if Moore and Samuels don't pan out. Coleman looks better, Hawes > Gillman. OL and RB still big strengths. And of course, we have a Hulk. Steady or better across the board, in short.

It's the time of year for sunny optimism, so maybe Bishop will be a revelation, Rapp will stay healthy, and White will do just fine, with Hairston, Strong, and Hancock coming on in the latter half of the year and playoffs. I'm excited about Bosa, Sanders, and Walker.

Game on!

This seems like splitting hairs. Even if he didn't "miss games" it's not like he was a major contributor.

Wilkerson will turn 29 this season. Don't think there's a breakout in his future.

Not sure but I just heard the new stadium's gonna have a real grass field!

Has there been a single surprise cut yet?

I guess that depends on your definition of "surprise."

Why all the hate already for Carter? He was looking decent up until he got hurt last year. You gotta give him another year. This board would crucify McBeane if they cut him and he turns into a decent player.

This board is already crucifying Beane for drafting Carter.

The Ravens to me are the biggest disappointment. That teams has gobs of talent by far the most talented team in the AFC and they can’t break through the Chiefs either

10 probowlers but Lemur is the MVP while Josh has to drag this team to Victory every game

Sure, that's kind of my point. Why? The guy hasn't even played a full season and people are ready to move on. However, it would be 10x worse if he hits after being released

Its a long off season.  Everyone is salty the way last season and the previous 5 before that have ended.  I know I have felt that way all offseason.  (Except when we drafted Hairston, and watching Hard Knocks.)

I am excited for the season to finally almost be here.  As for Carter, does he even dress unless there is an injury at DT before Ogunjobi comes back?  I think he is certainly behind Daquan Oliver Sanders and Walker.  But I could see Daquan being injured by week 2, and we can go with Big Jordan or Carter.  I hope the kid steps up when he gets his chance.
