Aussie Joe Posted Sunday at 10:10 PM Posted Sunday at 10:10 PM It’s nice JP will be on the team when they win the championship this season 1 1 Quote

If anything this signing is about Carter. Hope so! Carter moved to 1 tech this year. So while they may cut Carter I dont think this signing is really about how bad he has been. Probably more to do with Walker playing well and maybe DQ has looked ok. Phillips probably plays alongside Oliver in pass rush situations only. Quote

I mean the tweet does say he's expecting to sign "later in the week". That opens the door for the PS. Edited Sunday at 10:13 PM by BuffaloBillyG 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted Sunday at 10:13 PM Posted Sunday at 10:13 PM (edited) Ok so who's the backup 1 tech to Daquon jones?...assuming they cut Carter What in the hell is Beane doing Edited Sunday at 10:15 PM by BillsFan130 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM Posted Sunday at 10:14 PM (edited) If true, how much does this move the needle? Is JP an improvement over Carter. IMO, I’d rather keep the younger Carter. And what a bad miss on a 3rd pick by Beane with another wasted pick on the DL. Edited Sunday at 10:16 PM by TFBillsfan Quote

They removed a 2 million dollar salary guaranteed voided due to the PEDs. He’s 3.5 in guarentees. If they cut him before he gets a game check, that’s all she wrote. You keep referencing these different numbers but I can't find that anywhere. I see nothing about salary voided due to Suspension. And we signed him after he was suspended. His initial contract was 10m with 8m guaranteed. It then dropped to 6.6m with 5.4m guaranteed. Maybe that's where you think things fell off the contract? Just look at the Contract Details on Spotrac and OverTheCap. There is nothing about any sort of voids changing the 5.4 "fully guaranteed at signing". https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/21807/larry-ogunjobi/contract/graph https://overthecap.com/player/larry-ogunjobi/5651 Edited Sunday at 10:27 PM by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

I figured they'd keep 5 DTs so maybe Carter is gone and Phillips is his replacement? But that doesn't solve our biggest need there which is a legit backup to Daquan Jones. Just a bizarre signing. Bizarre and disheartening to acquire like 6-7 IDL in the past two offseasons and still need to go back to the JP well. Edited Sunday at 10:19 PM by RoscoeParrish 3 4 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted Sunday at 10:20 PM Posted Sunday at 10:20 PM It's pretty comical when you think about it.. Bills have invested 4 fairly premium draft picks the past 2 years on D lineman (maybe outside of walker),and right before the season starts they are signing a 32 year old injury prone, mediocre DT to the active roster . For the most part I'm a Brandon Beane fan, but this not a good look at all 1 Quote

I had no idea why they were drafting someone in the 3rd round from Duke anyways. I guess Zion Logue is not the answer? But I don’t mind that fivesome. But Phillips will probably be hurt in less time then Tre was. 😳😳 1 Quote
