Or maybe, perhaps likely, he'll be on the Practice Squad and the agent left that part out.

I mean, that would be as puzzling as the Phillips signing. 

 

They had the chance to walk away from his contract when they found out about the suspension. Or at least heavily lower his guarantees.

 

Instead they guaranteed 5.4m of his 6.6m contract. To then cut him is just insane.

Ogunjobi is safe until week 7 at minimum I would think, even if they plan to cut him might as well keep him around while he's suspended in case of injury. I figured they'd keep 5 DTs so maybe Carter is gone and Phillips is his replacement? But that doesn't solve our biggest need there which is a legit backup to Daquan Jones. Just a bizarre signing.

My guess is practice squad. I just don’t see how they’d fit him on the roster even if Carter is moved. It doesn’t make sense positionally either

You keep referencing these numbers, but again I do not think this is accurate. They removed a 2 million dollar salary guaranteed voided due to the PEDs. He’s 3.5 in guarentees. If they cut him before he gets a game check, that’s all she wrote.

If Phillips is back, I’m fully expecting the Bills to trade Dewayne Carter . Probably won’t get much but the Bills might take their 6th rounder and deal with it
