Completely anecdotal, but I think the ravens needing this game more than the bills (based on strength of schedule) might tip the scales in their favor (if I was gambling).

Nobody serious thinks Trent Dilfer is better than Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Joe Burrow. Exactly zero.

That's exactly my point, which is why it's ridiculous when someone says a QB sucks because they haven't won a SB

Front 7 gets a massive break with no Ricard and Likely.

Still a tough task to keep the Lamar/Henry RPO mesh game in check, but it becomes more of a conventional offense (with two elite players) instead of the freakshow unicorn with Ricard out there and Likely able to block or beat teams down the field like a pseudo-WR.

Ravens OL is pretty average, so if our DL is capable of showing up early in the season, they should have matchups to take advantage of.

I really hate the groin issue for Coleman. That just feels like a thing that will nag him all year.

IMO, he likely should have stayed very limited early in camp. Missing 7 days and then being 100% for 5 months is better than being at 95% for 5 months. The margins in elite sports are fractions of a percent.

Just dont know how bad it was, and Keon needed reps too.  Its a fine line for certain.

Hopefully he can play thru it this week and get a few rest days next week to start healing again.  Everyone is banged up during the season, as long as it stays soreness and not strained/pulled, then its mgt rather than recovery.

This is good

All anyone seems to want to discuss is how we’re down at CB2, and that’s valid, but the rest of our planned upon Defense (with suspensions & IR) is ready to go Sunday Night.

Offense, Keon looks like a go, fully healthy.

The reason the Ravens are such a nightmare matchup for a team like us is because they play a majority of their snaps with multiple TE’s and/or multiple backs with Ricard.

They don’t have an Eagles or Bills OL.  They run all over teams because they have (Lamar & Henry) a freak at fullback and Likely is a highly skilled TE that can stay in and block with Andrews or both can run routes anywhere on the field.

Kolar is fine, but he’s not Likely.  They don’t have another Ricard.

Our Defense should be able to stay in base Nickel Sunday Night and it becomes a more conventional match up of stopping the Lamar/Henry mesh game and defending 11 personnel (Hopkins, Bateman, Flowers).

Aside from Lamar or Henry missing the game.. Likely and Ricard are up there for top guys we could wish for being out against us.

Kolar is a solid # 3 but he’s not the field stretcher that Likely brings and Andrews while still effective has lost a step. I think Kolar will be fine as a blocker. Missing Ricard will hurt for sure but they were also missing Flowers in the game last year.

Lots of wrinkles on each side for a week 1 game that may not be the same come playoff time

Presumably, health aside, the Ravens would have Ricard and Likely, while the Bills would have Hairston, Hoecht and Ogunjobi.

I don't know about the wanting it or needing it more. Both teams are experienced and know the importance of getting the win.

I think it's more about match ups and injuries than desire and strength of scheduling.
