I really wish Tre did not get hurt for so many reasons.  But come on, our season never hinged on him being CB2 or CB3.  If anyone thinks that they are delusional.

What other moves outside of drafting a rookie was to make us feel otherwise?

Who's the next man up, Jackson, Ingram, or Strong?

Wouldn’t it be something if our late round picks of Benford and Strong become our two shut down corners.

Having tre be a starter was honestly probably a bad idea to begin with. I understand he's been injured in the past, but last year should've been an indication of where his play level was at. I think he's good depth, but not sure he'd ever be the player he once was.

Some were pretty high on Strong around draft time. I saw a few "steal" comments from people who had watched him over his college career.  Of course, there are probably those comments for a lot of players, but he seems to have a great skillset.

This topic title is somewhat misleading. According to reports Tre walked off the field, across the EZ, up thru the tunnel and back down the tunnel on his own power as he watched practice. Then the cart picked him up and took him back to the locker room. Hopefully, with a few weeks before the season kickoffs, he’s okay! Fingers crossed!

The plan was for Hairston to be the starter as a #1 pick and then he got injured. Based upon video, I don’t see Hairston back on the field until after our bye week.

I hope Tre is OK - but in fairness, hes holding down that spot until Max is ready.

Drop off from Max to Tre >>>> drop off from Tre to Dane or Dorian IMO.

Tre has been up and down all camp - hes our best 3 CB option, but Dorian Strong likely has more upside by end of this season than Tre.

We need to get thru 1st 4 weeks, if Max gets put on IR.  I'd rather roll with Dorian or Ingram, if forced into a situation where Tre goes on IR to start the year.

Late October for his return? That seems extreme, but we don't really have any good updates on that. I hope that's not the case.

As of this week from practice video, he could barely move his right leg on the stationary bike. Based upon that, it’s probably another month at minimum before he does any true football activity.

I'm surprised at the level of hate both Dane and Ingram get on this board. Yes Jackson has not looked great in preseason and was terrible in Carolina last year, but he has been a legitimately serviceable starter for us in the past. Similarly, Ingram has looked respectable when given the opportunity. Isn't that the best that anyone could have hoped for at this point from Tre? We didn't lose the All Pro version of White.

I think the overall concern with the status of the secondary has caused an overreaction to this particular piece of injury news. That being said, if this is serious I feel terrible for Tre. How many bad breaks can one guy suffer?

So who is available for a 4th and 5th rounder, maybe even a third? It's not like we're gonna draft well next year anyways so might as well go for it now!

He looked great besides the TD play against the giants. Looked lost vs the Bears.

I think your overreacting if you think a washed Tre White - no matter how much we like him - was the bulwark of success for this team. He was a free agent for a reason…and likely Buffalo was his only landing spot.

Drafting a cb in R1….not a legitimate move?

I really don’t care what you think 🤷‍♂️

I’d rather run out of DB’s in the preseason than the postseason.

Neither would be great, but I won’t be greedy if we can do it right for once.

Nothing tells a guy how much a fan base likes and appreciates him like people throwing around insults like washed…….constantly.
