I’m guessing that you haven’t followed the Bills for long.

“Holdin’” was what Reuben Brown excelled at.

In the old days, Bruce would have an “injury” just around the time two a days started…..every year like clock work😜

He had some strong showings in OTAs from what I remember but hasn't done much in training camp. He missed a few practices due to injury and just hasn't been consistently making plays with the 1st team offense. I've seen Tyrell Shavers and Kristian Wilkerson brought up more in recent days.

These guys are definitely having a camp. Shavers vs Moore for a roster spot is interesting.

Honestly Coleman and Palmer on the outside has been looking like a strong likelihood for a while now

More like the certain starters since Palmer was signed.  Its never been a question who the 2 starting outside guys were going to be this year barring injury

Yea I mean we will have to wait and see how the season goes. Him not making the roster would still be pretty surprising to me. When we signed them I said we would not get much out of him and Josh Palmer.

Keon, Shakir and Kincaid are the key to the passing game this year.

Beane needs to make his Mid season trade for a WR NOW instead of mid season.

My opinion is based on what I see, when he's matched up with top guys. I know there's a place for analytics, but there's is just as much of this type of stuff that I disagree with,  that I agree with.

Across the league, Surtain was the consensus top CB, but according to this he's on par with Benford. That's not what I see when I watch the 2. I saw Chase abuse him the last time we met. Surtain in contrast gave him fits. Just one example.

That being said, I have also seen great improvement in Benford year over year, and who knows, maybe this year he's what you say he is, and reaches that Superstar status. He is having his best camp to date, but we won't know at least for a month plus.

PFR credits Benford with being targeted twice for 30 yards (OMFG PFR also seemingly has both targets going to Tee Higgins).  Not sure what you think abuse is but you should provide some video cause your eyes lied to you.  Generally Benford doesnt get abused by ANYONE (as he has one of the lowest yards per catch or yards per target).  In 39 career games he has given up more than 50 yards only 3 times!!!! Half the time he doesnt even give up 25 yards.  Half the times he doesnt even give up 3+ catches.  Im having a hard time finding any teams he even struggles with (his two DET performances was the closest I could find; 52 yards on 3 catches in 2022 and 44 yards on 5 catches in 2024).  these stats can lie but you need to check the video cause i cant find anything to support what your eyes saw.

Do you know the stats for when he went against Garrett Wilson at MetLife? I remember thinking Benford was getting beat up that game. It’s the only one I can remember where he was consistently giving up yards and catches. The only one I remember (a healthy) Tre White looking like a child trying to cover a man was when he went up against DK Metcalf in Seattle. In general both have been very good CBs.

Yeah, no such thing as a shut down corner anymore it seems, especially with the rules tilted towards the offense.  Benford and White have been good to great corners during this time

Hold in: the player shows up to practice but doesn’t practice. He watches his teammates work while he rides a stationary bike. This approach avoids the $50K per day fine.

Hold out: the player stays away from all team related activities and is fined $50K per day for each day he misses.

As someone that really wants them to sign a deal with Cook, I would not allow a “hold in”.  If he doesn’t want to participate and help the team, he should go home and wait till the business gets resolved.

Fines or not, I don’t really care about.  But I would not allow someone to just pace around with a sour attitude (granted that is based of extremely limited views on a couple X clips).   Show up, work, help the team or go home till your agent calls you.  (And depending on how his agent handles the negotiations, fines may or may not be coming.)

Landon Jackson sighting...  Anyone?  Haven't heard a peep...

He’s gonna be a non factor this year and likely his ceiling is AJe / washed Trent Murphy

I thought there was a chance things might be different in training camp, but virtually every report I've heard is that when all are healthy is Palmer and Coleman on the outside and Shakir in the slot

In 5 total games he has given up a total of 89 yards on 8 catches (13 targets).  He has 1 pick and 1 TD given up.  The game your thinking of is probably last year where he was targeted 6 times and gave up 5 completions for 54 yards.  He also had 2 DPI (one was offset; reviewing game log reminded me what a gross flag fest that game was).

Considering Wilson specifically he had the two DPI (accepted one was super ticky tack), gave up a TD (great job getting knee down by Wilson), and had one other downfield play given up.  There was also a screen where gave up a few yards (dont think it was an explosive), and a one where Dorian doesnt undercut Wilsons route (from a cover 1 analysis iirc) and it gets credited to Benford who is bailing in off coverage (think its cover 3 or cover 4).
