Honestly, I think the only two "real" injuries are Hairston and Shakir.......the rest would probably be playing if this was the regular season.

The Bills are planning on playing well into January and hopefully February this year......it's a marathon, not a sprint. I want guys healthy then, not gutting it out in training camp even with a minor injury in August.

I am surprised by how many days Bishop has been out at this point, tbf.

No one's mentioned it in this topic so it bears mention that if the above list is accurate, Taylor Rapp is back practicing.

The Bills under McBeane have always been very cautious about injuries during training camp and preseason.

My guess is that the majority of the players on the list are being held out as precautionary moves.

It is funny and painful seeing all the posters here freaking out AND criticizing the training staff.

Come on you know that’s not how it works around here-we don’t celebrate players coming back from injury, we only complain about players being injured! Get your head out of your ass man!! 😬

I really like Parrino and his reporting but he gets way too high on random guys at the bottom of the depth chart. He's also Cam Lewis' number one fan, I'm ready to move on but I've said that for like 3 years.

Cam Lewis is not going anywhere this year IMO

How has Allen looked so far in camp? As locked in as ever?

Sounds like he’s been tossing more picks than usual, but hopefully that’s because the defense is much improved. He also may be taking a few more chances to see what he can get away with.

So are we gonna talk about camp today, or just rehash cook over and over and over again?

aren't there other threads for this nonsense?

Yes indeed.

And I hope folks have the good sense to take their rants elsewhere, because they do not belong here.

I mean, if you wanna try and sling it and push the ball a bit more than you normally would then practice is the place to do it lol.

I'm glad he was able to minimize the turnovers last season but I accepted long ago that the dude might throw a pick or two but (typically) his pros outweigh the cons. Threw a pick in the first on a second down play from midfield? Sure, but then he went ham for four TDs and a big dub so, pick forgiven lol.

Bills training camp is the equivalent to the largest buffet Shady Maple Smorgasbord in Lancaster PA as far as content goes. Literally all you can consume. It’s great

I agree, Allen’s picks never bothered much at all. I know many disagree, but those same risks also produce incredible feats. Allen can recover from a pick. Scoring drives aren’t at a premium with Allen. You have a chance to score every time he has the ball. The average QB has a limited number of those opportunities, and picks are devastating.

Cam Lewis is a guy that is not a star but he plays multiple positions at an average level. Coaches love players that can play multiple positions. He isn't going anywhere. As a back up he is very good.

I agree and thought this the whole time too. Yes, he has some turnovers. Its those same turnovers that are also the superstar plays that people cheer for. Not all the picks are his fault either. The only ones that bother me are the routine plays that he should have seen coming. Of course everyone would like to see turnovers toned down. I still want him making those superstar, only QB that can do it, type of plays and if it costs a turnover once in a while so be it.

This one has me a bit concerned as well. Even just missing practice time isn't great.  He's a guy who could use reps

Two thoughts on the crazy amount of injuries

1. I wonder if the bills are being overly cautious with all the cameras around the team especially after the benford passing concussion protocol so quickly in the playoffs last season

2. Would be curious if injuries and rehab are off limits to hard knocks cameras unless specifically given the ok by the player thus creating some private non filmed mic'd up time

Just curious, why would the Bills have to be overly cautious? If they want to put injured players back on the field too early two weeks into camp there is no benefit in doing such.

I’m sure it doesn’t help four of his top 5 receivers are hurt and he is playing a lot with young, inexperienced practice squad level players
