I love the fact Tre is getting back into form.  Some are concerned, but he is taking the #2 spot while Mad Max recovers then learns.  He is an upgrade on what we had going on last year.

Tre was playing well (finally) post-ACL right before he tore his Achilles. I hope he can approach being the player he used to be again, he just doesn’t get there quickly. I take nothing from last year, and I’m encouraged by the camp reports.

He will never be 100% of what he was. If he can be 80% its an upgrade to our secondary.  I really hope they start controlling and monitoring his reps. We need him in January and Feb more than anything.

The injuries are ridiculous. I thought we had an improved training staff….but it’s same old, same old….and possibly worse.

I always wonder if guys just don't want to practice and make up injuries..

That's why it's so important to get true dogs that love the game.

Irrelevant until the injury report on week 1.

I am a firm believer that not having these guys in house more often is part of the reason that we see more injuries. I think more in person practice (without contact/pads) will reduce injuries and greatly improve the product on the field.

That isn't a knock on the work these guys put in all offseason. But individual sessions and maintenance work isn't a replacement for team work and constant in persons with S&C.

A track star can run all they want, but it isn't the same as racing. Both need to be happening regularly and in tandem.

What are we thinking for playing time vs the Giants?

Will Josh play a series?

Will starters play?

My guess is NO as far as Allen playing. Some of the starters may see playing time but probably only for a series.

None, or as little as possible.

2-3 series apiece for starting offense and defense in the Bears game and then bubble wrap them

100%. I think the lighter OTA's cause an issue.

Two thoughts on the crazy amount of injuries

1. I wonder if the bills are being overly cautious with all the cameras around the team especially after the benford passing concussion protocol so quickly in the playoffs last season

2. Would be curious if injuries and rehab are off limits to hard knocks cameras unless specifically given the ok by the player thus creating some private non filmed mic'd up time

Honestly, I think the only two "real" injuries are Hairston and Shakir.......the rest would probably be playing if this was the regular season.

The Bills are planning on playing well into January and hopefully February this year......it's a marathon, not a sprint. I want guys healthy then, not gutting it out in training camp even with a minor injury in August.

No fans at today's practice, just beat reporters.

No one's mentioned it in this topic so it bears mention that if the above list is accurate, Taylor Rapp is back practicing.

The Bills under McBeane have always been very cautious about injuries during training camp and preseason.

My guess is that the majority of the players on the list are being held out as precautionary moves.

It is funny and painful seeing all the posters here freaking out AND criticizing the training staff.
