ENOUGH with Micah Parsons and his run defense. Again, we’re not losing playoff games because we can’t stop the run. Parsons is 2nd best in the ENTIRE LEAGUE at doing what we struggle to do - pressure and sack the QB. It would be a blessing if he was a Buffalo Bill. As Leodis McKelvin used to say, “point blank, period!”

There is zero money to do this anyway so it's a moot point.

Ok, here's a condensed game video. First good footage I could find. While certainly not complete, you'll see that almost run on this tape in our first 3 drives went away from Parsons. Leaving him largely unblocked, we sent bodies left at those small LBs. And then when we do run right, we send bodies towards Parsons.

I'm sure this link will give me that dumb "Video unavailable" message, but check it out. It's a fun game anyways. (And a great Cook highlight film)

I'm not going to argue he's great or even good against the run. Dont get me wrong. My point was that the LBs were the bigger weakness, and where we game planned towards them because they were bad, when we game plan towards Parsons it's because he's a good player.

I'll take the silence and complete lack of response to this video evidence post to mean yall learned something.

(But really, how about that James Cook?)

I didn’t bother to watch it. Just like when we run light LB’s out there, the result is it’s easier to run at them. We complain about that all the time. As I clearly stated, I’m not saying he’s not a great player, but it’s not all 100% positive. There are tradeoffs. Dwight Freeny was great, against the pass, but on the small side and a bit of a liability against the run.

If Bosa stays healthy, we could have a very good pass rush this year.  If he was an elite CB I’d be all for sending a couple of 1st’s for him.

We already have Benford.

For sure, we agree (again!). But the plan in 2023 wasnt "run at Parsons all day because he's the weak link in the run game".

If you get 15min the video is worth the watch. Fun game!

Yes, we learned not to argue with ignorant people.

I brought up an actual stat. You replied with "3 plays in a highlight video" lol. It was so absurd it was not worth responding to.

So very wrong. If the Bills want him, contracts can be finagled to provide the resources to sign him.

You made up a stat that you have yet to prove. I gave you video evidence of way more than 3 plays. Typical "Einsten" thinks he knows everything and can never admit otherwise. And when proven wrong move to personal attacks.

The video dont lie.

There's always money in the banana stand.  As many have already pointed out restructuring Dawkins and Knox.  Somehow trading Epenesa and Samuel.  That gets you to the $24m or so you need to acquire Parsons.  Then structure his contract so the first year cap hit gives you more salary space.  There's a .1% chance of this happening btw.

I watched the Stephen A Smith interview, at least the parts related to Parsons, and was shocked to hear Jones actually admit that the things we have been hearing about why negotiations have stopped, or almost, is actually true, completely true! But he added more detail, all of it more damning than what we already knew.

He thinks because he met with Parsons, his 26 year old player, and they seemed to agree on the fundamentals of a new contract, with no representation at all present for Parsons!!, that that is it, that should be done.  And he really resents Parson's agent budding in and saying no deal, 'stick it up your a**, as Jones indicated.

Jones may be suffering from an illness of some kind as he used an example from the Little Rascals, whereas a rascal goes to his mom to get something he wants, doesn't get it, so goes to his dad to try to get it!   Huh???

He did not seem to indicate who was who in his bizarre, awful analogy.  The only thing that would make any sense in that analogy, the only thing, is if JONES was the child, making an end around of the parent, the agent, to get what he wants.  One of the worst GMs now in the league, the guy seems to have also lost his grip on reality.  I cannot imagine anyone thinking he is in the right here, shutting out a player's agent, getting caught in his unscrupulous act, and then just digging in his heels again and again.  Other owners and Goodell should grow  a set and stand up to this tyrant. But they won't.

What an idiot Jones is; same ol' same ol' from an awful GM, team leader.  Yeah he is mega rich, but he is now officially a joke or worse. And likely almost none of his players respects him. Hard to have a successful team if that is the case.

Not a huge Parsons' fan, seems to make as much positive impact in games against good teams as the team's offensive leader, Prescott, but the guy should bolt if he can. He deserves a legitimate negotiation.

Now we know why Diggs wanted his own doctors to be in charge of his recovery rather than Jones' doctors. For which he received a $500, 000 fine!

What player on that team would trust him? Let alone like him?

Sad to see a man near the end act so foolishly.

Two to tango.  Jones is no peach but Parsons agent has been fired for being crappy by Tee Higgins…….then Higgins got his deal done.

After the ugly and public Lamar Jackson contract negotiations in 2023, I believe nothing said by either side until a signing or trade is announced.

Everyone forgot that Lamar demanded a trade, Ravens transition tagged him and opened to match other teams offers. He went social media hinting about having had to play injured and insinuating lowball contract offers, while the team changed it’s tone when talking about a franchise QB and dismissing rumored offers. It was looking ugly for while.

Then poof all the bad feelings went away and Lamar didn’t really want to be traded after all. How silly of us to believe either side.

James Cook’s hold-in was downright friendly by comparison. The worst he did was unfollow the team on instagram and posted a dollar amount.
