Kirby Jackson Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) This post got me thinking, “what’s the right number that it would take in exchange for a Bills Super Bowl?” Obviously, $500 isn’t the answer. The champagne I’d pop after a Super Bowl would exceed that. What’s your number? I’m thinking like $500K would be my number. That might be insane and it might not be high enough. That number is big enough to matter but not big enough to stop working or drastically change the day-to-day. I figure that this is an interesting place for this discussion because the people spending time here, in June, REALLY care about the Bills. EDIT: To be clear, you either get _____ dollars and the Bills do not win one in your lifetime OR they are guaranteed a championship this year. Edited 20 hours ago by Kirby Jackson 4 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Lmao yeah I could care less about $500 The only thing I truly want is my mother and father who have been watching since inception... And truly love the bills I just want them to see a championship before they go I want it for my mom and dad more than myself and I do want it My parents met at a random super bowl a long time ago and I think that's fate Edited 21 hours ago by Buffalo716 1 3 1 6 Quote
BullBuchanan Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago $500 is absolutely nothing, so Super Bowl for sure. $5k, $10k same thing. That said, I've gotten so conditioned to them not winning it, that I might as well have the money. It would have to be enough to get something decently cool though. I'd say $100k, but if you twist my arm, I'd probably take less. 1 3 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago $500.00 without thinking twice. What am I going to do with a Lombardi trophy? 1 16 2 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I think I'd need more information on the theoretical deal. When the question is asked "money or your team winning the Super Bowl?" - what are we talking about? Like are they saying for that year that they would win or are they asking "money or your team never wins the Super Bowl?" With the QB we have, I think we'll have a lot of chances to win a Super Bowl. So there is a dollar amount (definitely more than 500) I would accept to give up a Super Bowl we'd potentially win in a single given year. But if the deal means that it won't ever happen? That's a horse of a completely different color. Quote
Dave_Bills Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I’d turn down $500k for a Bills Super Bowl and I’m Canadian so I’m really turning down $700k haha. The journey is really what makes this worthwhile though. However, I’ve been a fan long enough that and seen so much heartbreak that I’d settle for one guaranteed Championship. 1 1 Quote

So, I would expect a lot of people would take the money. Or is it a binary situation— ie, the Bills only win the SB if you forego the money? That makes it much harder. Might be a million bucks for me in this scenario. Quote

oldmanfan Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago According to my financial guy I’m set for retirement. So give me the trophy. 1 1 Quote
Victory Formation Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago It would take more than that for me. Maybe $40K+ and I would really have to think about it. Quote
WotAGuy Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Geez, I’ll take $50 because at this point, I don’t think they will ever win one. 1 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago So basically do I want 500 bucks or my fav team to win thus bringing them more revenue with ticket sales and merch and so on, bigger contacts for certain player and on and on. 500 bucks is a joke these days. Quote
Your Brown Eye Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago $500, I'll take the Lombardi, $5,000 I would go with the Lombardi. $50K is when I would start to strongly consider the money, with good solid investments, that $50k would be a heck of a lot more in 20-25 years. 100K is probably the line where it would be a definite "take the money and run" 1 Quote
Dan Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago My mother almost died (technically she kinda did) a couple years ago. One of the many thoughts that went through my head was I would never get to see or experience the joy of the Bills winning a Superbowl with her. She pulled through and is still kicking. So for me… it’s hard to put a price tag on what that moment would mean to our family. So I would need something along the lines of Josh’s contract size to make me consider taking the money. 2 Quote
