I love how the schedule makers are like @Jets week 1.  We're calling your bluff.

Schedule makers built this in. That's why they do. Fields was known and Rodgers was all but known well before that process ended.

Way ahead of you.  Lol.  It'll be interesting to see if the Jets fans boo him as they seem to blame Woody Johnson above everyone else.

It's crazy how some teams just won't admit when they need to go into rebuild mode.

Steelers are going nowhere until they accept reality.

Yea. I don't mind them trying to find serviceable Quarterback play with Aaron. He is no better than serviceable at this stage. But the rest of their offseason around it confuses the hell out of me. They are constantly middling it strategy wise and as a result getting constantly middling results.

It simply delays the inevitable and puts them another year further out from potentially becoming great again because it's never going to happen until they find their next Roethlesberger.

Should be a fun game to watch, if for nothing else then the 2 QB’s switching teams.

I think Fields will have trouble w the Steelers defense.  Throw for about 130 yards and be running for his life most of the game.

I see a low scoring game w the Steelers coming out on top 17-13.  Bet the under.

In the grander scheme of things this isn't as bad if a move for the Steelers as many think.

Their defense is extremely good. They don't need much from the offense to win games. Rodgers isn't a world beater anymore...but he's steady and doesn't turn the ball over much historically. So if they get steady play I can see them pushing 10-11 wins and being in the hunt for the division late in the season. Makes it harder for Baltimore.

And if Rodgers gets hurt again, play slips and it all goes sideways, they can see what they have in their late round rookie, pick high next year for a possible franchise QB and use it as leverage to finally move on from Tomlin (who I do think is a good coach. Just maybe time for someone new there)

Who cares, both teams suck.

10 million guaranteed for a veteran qb who only needs to be slightly better than Russell Wilson for a good shot at the playoffs. It gives Will Howard a chance to learn behind a super bowl champion and MVP. As long as they can keep him from ruining the locker room, it's a relatively low risk for possibly high reward.

There's no such thing as a rebuild year in Steeler land.

They haven't had a top-5 draft pick in 55 years (1970 when they took Bradshaw).

Living in Steeler country, 100% agree with this.

Pickens was a headache, so it was pretty clear he was on his way out at some point.  But trading for DK and that contract- in the midst of no QB, makes little sense.

They should've been stocking picks for 2026.  Instead, they've made an attempt to stay in the 9-10 win category while giving away a valuable pick this year and the $s to DK.  Juts not seeing the long game for them.

Wildcard team at best, they crumbled down the stretch LY when their schedule finally got tough.

Unpopular opinion in Pittsburgh, but they should have full rebuild mode and traded Watt while the value is there and continued to load up draft picks.

This team is so scared to go all in, at QB in the Draft, after the Pickett miss.  They have a very good defense but the Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers of the world isnt gonna catapult them- they also have issues on that OL IMO.

An injury to Watt or Minkah, and they're a below .500 team IMO.

This will be the the definition of a meaningless football game. But I can't wait for the media to talk about it constantly!

Hilarious… Steelers fans calling into local radio down here saying 12-5 at worst 😂

My boss is a Steelers guy and was trashing the idea of Rodgers all offseason. Now that he signed, he rationalized that they need to take advantage of their Super Bowl window while Watt/Heyward et al are still around. Pittsburgh fans and their organization are completely delusional

I saw an image generated by Chat GPT of an 80-year old Rodgers in a Steelers uniform and I can't seem to find it anywhere lmao.

That's what happens when you get old.

I think the Steelers are making a deal with the devil with this. I think they're better off taking their lumps this year and get your guy next year.

I used to like Rodgers, but he has become such an intolerable DB, I can't stand him now.

Enjoy your Hemlock, Pittsburgh
