Moore is getting a lot of 1st team work at every practice the media has attended and most importantly seems to have developed good chemistry with Allen... Still need to see what he does when the pads come on and defensive coverage becomes more complicated but you couldn't ask for more at this point.

 

One player that I have not heard much about is Kincaid. Still doesn't seem like Allen favors him as a target. And Matt Parrino specifically pointed out Knox making a few plays today. Way too early to have definitive takeaways but it's worth noting.

I think we all want Tre to be on the roster this season. But he needs to look like a player we can call up on if Hairston isn't ready or someone gets injured if he's going to be on the 53. We're all rooting on him. But I've yet to hear anything from reporters about him beyond him having a bad day

I'm a huge Tre fan he was never really that fast. After the injury he's very slow. Players just run right by him and he can't keep up anymore.

Yeah, the Lions game last year when he was lined up on Jameo was so tough to watch. Not only him getting torched on the reg, but the look on his face that seemed to read "i'm done". 

 

I hoped that returning to a zone scheme that he's much more comfortable with and familiar with that provided him help would make him look at least good enough to be the 3rd or 4th Boundary CB off the bench on the 53. But with each day and each new report, it seems like that's not the case, at least thus far. I had him and Strong penciled in after Benford, Hairston, and Taron. But I think he's going to be hard pressed to beat out Dane Jackson and/or Ja'Marcus Ingram at this rate

Modern training combine times have people thinking world class speed is slow 

 

People running in the 4.3's is not the norm... And plenty of players in that speed whether they're wide receivers or cornerbacks are all speed with no skill 

 

Tre white has plenty of speed when he came out in the 4.46s.. like that's running 20 miles an hour 

 

Insanely fast... He's just not as fast as Tyreek Hill which most people are not 

 

Stefan diggs ran a 4.45-4.46... he's not slow... Derrick Henry ran a 4.5 , hes not slow

 

Cook ran a 4.42... that's literally milliseconds off of Tre white and nobody would say cook is slow

Palmer will be starting. That's a given with the contract we signed him to and the relative lack of star power at the position.

 

With only 5 WR's, Shakir exclusively in the Slot and Samuel at least 50% in the Slot, Moore will see his fair share of reps whether or not he's starting.

 

If Coleman doesn't impress during the regular season, Moore may cut into his number of reps more than expected. But i'd be surprised if he outright supplanted him for the role in Week 1, regardless of how he looks.

Agree with both sentences, but also I REALLY don't think McD is likely to field an offense that throws at such a high % unless they're behind a lot more often than anyone would like to see. Would be super fun to just see Allen unleashed now like he was to some extent back in the Daboll days. Very unlikely, though.

Moore as has been said, has never played with a good QB. He could be a nice steal. 

If Coleman can get better and produce double what Hollins did he will be fine. If Coleman is playing well outside then Moore will take away some of Samuels slot routes. 

Wildcard in targets will be Kincaid. Can he be an 80 reception guy ???

But what makes you think he still can run a 4.46 after blowing out his ACL and Achilles?  (He's also turned 30 in January.) He might be running a 4.56 for all we know.

Who knows what happens, but I've been all about Moore all off-season. His skill set is tailor-made for what we do offensively. It's extremely early, but it's a good sign that he is making plays.

Im putting more stock in the fact that hes running with the ones more than I am that hes getting toasted.  Given his experience with the team its maybe not too surprising.  However, I think who hes running with tells me he has a better chance of making the 53 than Dane and JaMarcus who also have experience with the team.  Hes already ahead of them on the depth chart (and i dont see reports of them getting any first team reps).  I still think he makes the 53 but is game day inactive (Kair treatment from last year; starting or no jersey cause no ST).

4.46 is not good speed for a 5'11" NFL boundary CB though.   He was never quick/fast for the type of player he was. 

 

And Tre White probably couldn't break 4.7 with a 40 mph wind at his back these days.  

 

I've told the story about the time the NFL hilariously tried a veteran combine........those 4.6's turned into 4.9's by age 26.  

 

The track numbers usually erode quickly and Tre's legs are hamburger at this point.

 

Also,  the difference between 4.46 and 4.42 is 4 hundreds of a second.   That's what you were thinking of.   A millisecond is a thousandth of a second.

 

Not that it's relevant because Cook doesn't play on the boundary where the NFL's fastest players live.   Apples and oranges.
