He's a great player, but already 31. We'll see if he can keep it up into his 30's. I sure hope Kincaid can turn into one of those elite TE's.

Good deal for Kittle.

If I were the niners, I wouldn't be chasing after him.

Two straight 1,000 yard seasons for him. He is clearly elite, plus a fan favorite. I think he is pretty solidified there.

But yeah, I would have done a 2 year deal instead of 4 years. That's a little risky.

My hunch is when the details are released it will be a "2 year deal".

Purdy next! He's going to break the bank and SF will be in trouble cap-wise

And how un-excited can the 49ers be about that?  When you're in "decent but sorta meh QB" purgatory and have to pay the guy it sucks.

If it's an extension I only see him getting maybe two years with $50m guaranteed and the 49ers can get out of the contract pretty easily after 2027.  Probably.

I didn't realize how good he's been the past two seasons.  For whatever reason I thought he was still sort of mired in that cycle of injuries.  Seems like a reasonable deal given his production and talent.

This is a drought era bills move to try and sell they are trying to win

No the drought era Bills move would have been to wait until this contract was up and then sign him to an even bigger one

We can hope, but he sure didn't show me anything that made me think he's got the talent to become a TE of that caliber.

I think he could be good (certainly better than he's shown so far), but not anything on the level of a Kittle or Kelce. Even if it were just flashes of greatness here & there, I'd be more optimistic, but he's shown flashes of "good" more than anything.

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/inside-the-new-george-kittle-deal

Kittle replaces the remaining year of his existing contract at $15 million with two guaranteed years at $33 million and another $2 million in guarantees for the third year. He has the ability to bump the total guarantee to $40 million.

The 49ers are committed as a practical matter to two years. It becomes a year-to-year arrangement after that.
