GunnerBill Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Congrats to Josh. And he hasn't asked to re-set the market. He has his recognition. He has the bag. He is just about a ring at this point. 6 9 3 Quote
JMM Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Ok great. Josh deserves every penny. The question is...how much does this help us capwise now and short term? Capolgists? 3 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted March 10 Posted March 10 It's going to be interesting how FA will go the next few years. Draft is going to be more important than ever. But Allen is more than worth it. 1 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Anybody who seriously thought Josh would leave us to California should be suspended from the board LOL Like that's a symptom of thinking we can't have nice things in Buffalo 4 1 4 Quote
HappyDays Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Like I said in the previous thread this is a massive massive discount. He could have gotten $65M or even $70M AAV. Hopefully Beane knows how big this discount is and uses it appropriately. 13 1 4 3 Quote
Magox Posted March 10 Posted March 10 He’s taking the Tom Brady route and allowing his team flexibility to get the players they need. I was expecting a $60-$65M deal. This is a serious team friendly deal. Should be about $11M in cap savings and I believe we are at about $20M under the cap. So far every single deal has been a team friendly deal with maybe the exception of Bernard! Beane has done a great job so far with extending our players. Now he just needs to close the deal and get a couple high quality players via FA/trade 17 4 Quote
