I say change the defensive coordinator and let him coach his defense like Brady gets to do with the offense.

I love coach Mcdermott, but at some point you have to be able to design a defense that can stop the run and get off the field on 3rd down.

GO BILLS!!

It all comes down to the playoffs. We’ll see once the new year comes around. Until then, we’ll enjoy great football. And let’s hope they learn how tackle before we then.

Yep. McDermott should have never let go of the play calling.

I thought the first half of 2023 when he called plays was pretty bad. But he really turned it around after that eagles loss and they were pretty dominant down the stretch.

Babich is completely incompetent IMO

Switch Allen and Rattler and who wins the game? What’s the score?

But it’s all not on McD.  That Saints Safety who made all those plays, I never heard of him, so I looked him up.  Turns out he is a rookie drafted at the end of the third round, 21 picks after Landon Jackson.  Where was Beane on that one!?

This defense will be our demise again in the playoffs against a healthy chiefs offense.

This defense will be our demise again for several games this year nad most certainly in the playoffs against the numerous teams who would have had the Saints put away by the 2nd half playing at home today.

I'm not sure the guys coming back from suspension and injury fix this. I really don't believe we are good enough on the defensive side of the ball.

Sitcom title for Buffalo Bills football is “McDermott Knows Best”

But does he? He hasn’t yet, and we are entering a time when a great TV series warps up their successful run.

Sean has jumped the shark....

Let's not kid ourselves....we've struggled to draft an impact full defensive player in the last several years. Who knows if any of these guys sniff 10 sacks?

This should be the case. I wonder if Neilson would take the reins though.  And if so, would McD be open minded to changing things entirely.  While today was a tough day for him, I think McD has improved year after year as a HC.  He’s shown that he is open to evolving, maybe he’d be good with an entirely new scheme. But I think that may be asking too much.

I’d be in favor of a new defensive scheme. This is making me ill

I wanted Ravens to win today. They didn't. I think they're nearly cooked. Lamar's injury was either the coaches sitting him to save him, or him giving up. Either way, it just became a 2-horse race with the Chargers loss. So, McDermott's nemesis may come back to bite us again. And if that happens......well, it depends on how, but I'll be out on McD. They've been playing down to their opponents the last 2 weeks, it seems. Just too weak.

There’s a lot of football to be played and it’s a week by week league. The Ravens seem snake bitten with injury and that could easily be the Chiefs in a matter of weeks with all the injuries. They’ve got a lot of wear and tear across that defense given all the extra playoff games.

Watching Cam Lewis get into great position to make the play after a short gain on 3rd & long, then get absolutely juked out of shoes for a 15yd run by Spencer freaking Rattler, almost made me puke.

Then when the exact same thing happened to Dorian shortly after, I actually did puke.

Who would be the new HC? Harbaugh went to the Chargers. Payton is in Denver. Ben Johnson in Chicago. None of those guys are getting fired.

Belichick is never returning to the league.

Options are limited.

I’d legitimately give Belichick a call still.

If there’s a guy I’d trust to get our JAGfest backend to do something to slow down the Chiefs, it’d be him.

Only one call and it would be to Spags.

Yes, I know he failed, but he didn’t have a Josh Allen talent at QB.

You’d breakup the Chiefs dynasty too.

McDermott isn’t getting fired though and we are 4-0.

Go Bills

He is the luckiest man in sports. Walked his way into the best QB of this generation and possibly top 5 of all time.

Not bad for a defensive minded head coach who only loses the big games because the defense absolutely craps all over another stellar Allen performance. Without Josh, McD was a two-three season NFL head coach.

And don’t even bring up the fact that he made the playoffs with Tyrod. If not for a freak Andy Dalton Miracle, that season also ends with an audible thud.

Sure, he’s a “nice guy.” And at my company, if that’s all someone can say about you, it’s time to sharpen up the resume.

No way. Then we'd have his JAGoff son calling our defense, and that young nurse of his running our front office.
