That only concluded in July and then they have been trying to find a date their selected High Court judge was available. I dunno if its the same in 'merica but in the UK your chances of finding a high court judge working in August is close to nil. It is frustrating it has dragged so long (and not only this case other cases too) but I don't see the NFL changing its position on legal process first league discipline second any time soon. That and it gives the NFL and NFLPA time to possibly come to a deal before then. The NFLPA could use some good PR amongst its players right now. Quote

No one is “looking the other way.” The NFL is trying to throw the book at Rice, and needs to go to arbitration to do so. Can you even comprehend how overfilled with joy I will be if you're actually right? I will physically break down and sob an eighth ocean's worth of dino tears of joy if you are. I hope for it more sincerely than a four year old hopes for Santa Claus to come down the chimney with whichever video game system is hype that year. I will consume more popcorn than all the theaters in all the suburbs in all of America, enjoying the ever-loving-captial-"F" outta the moment the NFL body-slams that turd-burgling, race-car smashing, playbook leaving, finger-waving-at-justice Rice. Let's sit back and watch. Either way, I win: I'll be right or I'll be happy. Quote
HappyDays Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Officially suspended for 6 weeks to start the season: They have a brutal schedule to start so hopefully they rack up a few losses while he's out. 3 2 2 Quote
RiotAct Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Oh wow - nice. Only problem is, he’ll probably be finding his groove by the time the Chiefs play us 😝 Quote
Fleezoid Posted August 27 Posted August 27 He probably wanted to fight a 6-game suspension, but the Chiefs probably convinced him to take it so they could get it out of the way early in the year as opposed missing middle or late season games. Quote
Brand J Posted August 27 Posted August 27 So the rumors were it was initially a 10 game suspension and Rice opted to let the courts decide. Now they’ve negotiated down to 6 games and the Sept 30th court date is no more as I understand it. Quote

JerseyBills Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Hopefully they go 0-6 þ Still can't believe we lost to them last year, we were the superior team, just some bad breaks , Elam and Douglas essentially started at CB =/ but they rarely make mistakes in the biggest moments. Quote

Wait until you see the drunk driving laws in the country! You could kill someone driving hammered and get like 6 months. 1 hour ago, JerseyBills said: Hopefully they go 0-6 þ Still can't believe we lost to them last year, we were the superior team, just some bad breaks , Elam and Douglas essentially started at CB =/ but they rarely make mistakes in the biggest moments. That’s what is annoying about last year. That was by far their least talented team during their run and they still went to the SB. rice is an idiot but he was probably going to struggle anyway coming back from the injury. This is probably best case scenario for them and him. 1 Quote

Bottom line: they turned the ball over, we didn’t, end of story. Quote

I had that observation and comment myself. Take the wrong supplement: 6 games Drive dangerously, damned near kill people, then leave the scene: 6 games Make It Make Sense 1 Quote
