Mr Info Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Just saw this today in an email from my rep: Next week, we will begin to invite our Priority List members to select any remaining available seats. If you have a family member or friend that is interested in becoming a Bills Season Ticket Member who is not currently on our Priority List, please connect us or have them fill out the form below to learn more. Given the extremely high demand for the new stadium, we encourage anyone interested in seats to join the Priority List as soon as possible. 1 Quote

Sounds like they are fishing for more names for the upper bowl. I guess it’s not selling as well as they hoped. I think lower bowl sold well. Lots of obstructed views in the 400s unfortunately. i tried to post that update for discussion in the big new stadium facebook group. But they are a rah rah group and only interested in cheerleading. The admin won’t approve any legit discussion. in fact, I scooped the admin on early pricing and posted it as an FYI with images and she deleted my post as she didn’t like my comments and said she’d wait for others to confirm my info. These boards are better - you can legit discuss. 1 1 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) So, I heard some stuff recently. The sales are “well ahead of where they expected them to be.” They were hoping to have the stadium full by training camp but it looks like they will be there just after the Super Bowl and well before the draft. They are currently ahead of what they envisioned as a best case scenario. Edited September 21 by Kirby Jackson 2 Quote

Near the front of the 400s there are stairs and railings in the way or close to the way. The reps seem to downplay it, however, I am picturing how this will look in practice. People going up and down those stairs, pausing, being generally inconsiderate will get old immediately. Its the one design flaw I have seen. 3 Quote

Rep had same concern, but the display re the issue at the stadium experience apparently is inaccurate in that respect. I was initially concerned about it, but not an issue for me now. Also, the sight line problem only pertains to lower seats in the UD, at least from what I saw. Quote

It's an easy loan and easy money. Somebody doesn't pay, they just forfeit the PSL. Only if it can't be resold for more than the value of the loan does anyone have to chase. And the chase probably is M&T's problem. It's a great deal. Quote

There is a railing in front of me and yes, it technically obstructs our view of the field. I can also say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I never even notice it during the game. It's really a non issue. Quote

But apparently it's not as bad in "real life" as the stadium experience made it seem. Quote

Yeah, people are going to argue this point, but they do look ridiculous in the stadium experience. I guess we’ll find out. They just seem excessive and unnecessary. Quote

eball Posted September 20 Posted September 20 This discussion is hilarious, as if a new stadium being built today will intentionally have obstructed view seats. 1 Quote

Apparently they're about half the size of what's represented there. Quote
Just Jack Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) I've been in Lincoln Financial, the Eagles stadium, upper deck, and you really don't notice the railings when the game is going on. And staff is good about keeping people off the landing when a play is going on. But this is really a topic for the construction thread, not the PSL thread. Edited September 21 by Just Jack 1 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) I mentioned this a long time ago when the first photos inside the actual stadium came out. The upper deck doesn’t have traditional vomitories (tunnels) like the current stadium. So instead, the exit aisle goes all the way down to the front edge of the balcony and the exit stair runs down perpendicular to the balcony face from there. So yes, people on the landing and top few risers of those stairs are definitely going to be in the line of sight of spectators with seats in the first two or three rows and close the exit aisle. Obviously, if you stand up, that won’t be the case. Edited September 21 by SoCal Deek Quote

The new stadium has hand rails. The current stadium does not, which I think is really dangerous. Not everyone is young and has perfectly functioning legs. Quote

That's just about every level (except suites) of every stadium everywhere. "Obstructed view" means architectural elements that block a sightline, not slow people. Quote
