Folks, you want to get concerned? The Bengals will play a 4th place schedule next year. And they're running it back with a (presumably) healthy Joe Burrow. I know that we struggle to beat KC in the playoffs, but the Bills don't even compete with the Joe Burrow Bengals.

They Chiefs took CEH and Skyy Moore with high draft picks. Every GM has busts.

Your absolutely right and I out of curiousity looked at both the Bengals schedule and his drafts after he was hired. Veach had very average drafts when he first started in 2018,2019, and 2021 drafts were average but his drafts fin 2020,2022, and 2023 have been absolute money. Lucky very possible but maybe they adjusted how they did things in scouting after his first 3 years weren't great.

Spagnola is the problem. Reid and Mahomes have had him as DCoordinator in every SB win. They have good players but his system gets the most out of them. Tough to beat Mahomes and Reid when you can only muster 22-24 points a game.

Eagle’s scored 35 last Superbowl.

The Chiefs have the best QB/HC combo in the league by a mile.

The Chiefs have the best offensive,  defensive coaches in the game. The best QB and TE. Absolutely solid kicker and punter to compliment their ST.  How does Josh (alone) get past all that?

Also something that doesn't get mentioned: They have a pedigree. It's like the Pats for so many years: teams play them and they make mistakes. 49ers: punt that hits a blocker and McCloud can't jump on it leads to 7. Flowers fumbles at the goal line. Bills miss the FG late. Who knows what happens if any of these simple mistakes go the other way.

First lets start by saying I hate their guts if only because of how good they are every year and they most years eliminate our Buffalo Bills.  I will also fully recognize that probably this post will get crapped on by most Bills fans but the truth hurts sometimes.

This post will be an extension of another poster bringing it up but the reason why the Chiefs win every year is because they have the most top end players and coaching in the league and they always show up when the lights are the brightest.

Patrick Mahomes- Is the best QB in the league. Comes through 95% of the time with the game on the line and very rarely fails come playoff time. Josh Allen is a very close 2nd but doesn't have the supporting cast that he does.

Creed Humphrey/Joe Thuney, Trey Smith- Individually 2 out of the 3 could be in the argument for the best Center and Guard at their positions in the league and collectively are definitely the best interior line in football.

Travis Kelce- Maybe not the best TE this season and was shut down very early in the Super Bowl but as the game rolled on there was his presence. No bigger than the 22 yard scamper down the sideline to tie the game at the end of regulation. 9 catches for 93 yards.

Chris Jones- Maybe not huge on the stat line tonight but affected the pass and run game all night for the Chiefs. Makes the QB get off their mark. Cost the Bills at go ahead TD in the divisional game, harrassed Jackson and Purdy in both of the other games.

Trent McDuffie- All over the field making tons of plays and have sticky coverage. He might be the best slot CB in the league and he is still very young. Played great tonight.

L'Jarius Sneed- For the most part was good tonight besides giving up the TD to Jennings which was even still pretty good coverage. Gave up 1 TD all season long and could arguably considered the best outside CB in the NFL.

Harrison Butker- Guy has been as good if not better than Justin Tucker these last couple of seasons and there he was again tonight burying at 57 yards FG  and then hitting the 28 yarder to get the game into OT. Tucker probably still the best Kicker but to me its 1A and 1B.

Andy Reid/Steve Spagnuolo- They continue to make adjustments at halftime and win games for their team. Spagnuolo was getting gashed early in the game in multiple ways but essentially shut down the 49ers offense in the 2nd half. The Chiefs also held the Bills to 7 second half points and completely shut down the Ravens in the AFC title game.

This doesn't even include the plethora of really good other players that they have including Pacheco, Rice, Karlaftis, Nnadi, Bolton, Gay, Justin Reid, and Townsend.

To me for the Bills, to get to the Chiefs level, they need to acquire more high end talent. It is simply amazing to me that Josh Allen has almost single handedly willed this Bills franchise to wins against the Chiefs in the playoffs. The Bills have talented players besides Allen but not to the level that the Chiefs. You can argue for Bills guys sure but at most positions the Chiefs have a guy who is better with the exception of LB and WR.

Totally agree.  And the Chiefs have other really good players, like Karlaftis, Bolton and Willie Gay, who are as good as anyone on the Bills’ defense.  That’s how you make a dynasty.  Oh, and the Chiefs only have three starters left from the team that won the Super Bowl four years ago.

They carry the aura now as well.  Teams are starting to go against their normal run because they fear failure.  Look at the Ravens and 49ers going away from the run to try to have their QBs land the gut punch blow to the Chiefs because they could “see” a win.  It’s the fear of Mahomes being in a close game where you gave him too many chances.

teams beat the chiefs by giving them no respect.  The 49ers gave that team no respect to start, and they were winning.  Then it becomes an effort to have Purdy out duel Mahomes, they go away from their offensive gameplan for the 3rd quarter, and it cost them.

Chiefs won for two reasons: Mahomes and Coaching.  Bills have the QB to win the SB but not the coaching

Not crapped on by me.  It blows my mind how many Bills fans out there think we have a better roster from top to bottom than the Chiefs do.  Makes me wonder what games these people are watching LOL

Did you watch that garbage Chiefs offense last night? Our roster is just as good and the Chiefs can thank their 2023 Lombardi Trophy to the Bills being decimated by injuries or they wouldn’t have even been there.

Yeah that gimme TD after the punt debacle and the final walk-in toss to Hardman were legendary. He really nailed those 4 field goals too. Amazing stuff.

This ^.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder what game people are watching.

Mahomes did nothing spectacular last night. He was good, but certainly wasn’t great. Heck, he threw a ball that should have been INT’ed and ended the game with less than 2 minutes to play. Not to mention the actual INT that was into double coverage.

Chris Jones was the Chiefs MVP last night. Or perhaps McDuffie. It certainly wasn’t Mahomes, but they just always give it to the winning CB.

I mean, it sucks that the Chiefs got a good player.

But McDuffie's size and arm length pretty much guaranteed he'd be a Nickel CB. He's a great one at that, but so is Taron Johnson (McDuffie is 1st Team AP, Taron is 2nd) and we already had him in house.

We weren't in the market for a Nickel CB. We needed a Boundary CB.

I don’t know where people get the idea that McDuffie is just a slot CB.

He played outside corner in college when he was drafted, then the Chiefs play him as a boundary CB half the time too. They flip/flop him all the time from outside corner to slot and even sometimes to safety.

It's his primary position. And for a reason. He has versatility wherein certain matchups and certain alignments, they can occasionally put him there. Just like we can occasionally split Shakir out wide.

But if he could match up with everyone's outside long WR's, he wouldn't be playing primarily Nickel.

It’s actually not. He was a boundary corner last year and only switched to part time slot this year. He plays half the time as a boundary player.

This year was the first of his career (college and pro) that he played slot at all.

Not disagreeing with any of this but what's missing for me is the props for the KC defense. Pretty sure they didn't give up 30 all year. Underrated part of their success this year imo.

The pieces around wasn't just intended as offense. It meant the entire team. In fact I think his offensive skill guys have been the weakness this year.

Mahomes is as cool as ice in clutch moments. I hate that he keeps winning and my friends were laughing at me at how upset I got with the 49ers losing (not a team I routinely support) but I have to admit it...

When it's crunch time and the game, the season, the championship is on the line, if I can pick one player to make it happen, it's Mahomes. I hate it but that's the truth.

Yeah, I love Josh as our QB but, in hindsight, they could’ve just taken Mahomes in the 2017 draft.  They used the 2017 KC 3rd Rnd pick from that trade to move up and snag the incomparable Zay Jones.  They then used the KC 2018 first round pick from that trade to maneuver to move up for Josh.
