McConkey is 5'11" and runs a 4.59 40. I don't care how he looks on film, those things make him a non-starter in discussion for our next full time X WR.

I agree with this. I don’t see anything special with McConkey. I mean I’d take him in the 3rd or after but he’s not a first or second round pick imo.

I agree too. I have a 2nd/3rd borderline on him. If you are a team looking for someone who can work the middle of the field for you, sure, go draft him. For what the Bills need is he doesn't fit.

Just curious. Am I the only one here that just restarts the draft if the first 3 picks aren’t Williams, Maye, and MHJ? I refuse to believe that any one of those 3 teams will take anyone but one of those 3. And nobody is trading up for anyone else in the top 3. I occasionally get Wash, Chi, or the Pats taking a OLmen or even Bowers there. I refuse to believe that will happen and just restart every time.

They’re wild at times. There was a couple of drafts where MHJ didn’t get drafted until pick 15+… There was one which was still not a free for all and went by BBR where McConkey, Franklin and Thomas Jr. all were drafted before MHJ, Odunze and Nabers. Oddly enough in that draft the first 3 were Maye, Williams then Daniels.

Today's mock draft.  I like this draft.  2 instant contributors at WR, a replacement for Hyde, backups all along the OL to keep Allen upright, a backup QB, new bruiser RB, and replacement for Knox or a TE for a 3 TE set.  But, we will need Von to have a return to form season, and also need to keep out DL intact or find other cheap avenues at 1T DT.  Will need another baller season from Oliver.

Tykee Smith interests me. Was a solid defender in college this past year and finally came into showing Pro quality. He’s all over the places in mocks. Seen him as high as 70 and as low as 160.

Goes to show you how some of these people have things graded pre-draft.

I agree with this analysis.

I've followed him all throughout college and his play style and physique are spectacular for college ball, but in the NFL he is considered slow and undersized....when he hits the draft, he should go no earlier than the 3rd round.

From PFN.  Like this draft.  it solves some issues with the departure of Hyde and upgrades the Defensive Interior.  Not happy having to wait until Rd. 4 for a WR, but Baker looks like he could play next year.  All the top WRs were gone by 28, and Sweat and Smith were much better than the WRs available in those rounds.  It looks like a bunch of "contributors" on offense but perhaps no stars unless Baker busts out.  Potential stars all on D.  Would rather it be the other way but with no trading up was stuck.

I have decided that I’m going to abuse Beane so much if he takes a Safety at 28

Gabe Hall at 205 is good , if a tad unrealistic

Seeing Cowing skyrocket in these mocks which usually only happens after the combine for players. Towards seasons end he was in the 150-200 range at best. He’s up to the 50’s in some mocks now.

I’m really starting to warm to idea of Sweat with our first, if the WR we absolutely love is not there…👍

This

if Franklin or Thomas is there it’s definitely a thought. Other than that the only guy I want at 28 is Sweat. Hopefully with a trade down for some extra picks
