I guess the Jags run the most screens of any team. Little concerned with that, as it seems like our D seems to get fooled by screens (and jet sweeps) with sometimes too much over pursuit.

I heard on the preview on Cover1 with the Jags version of them that they run the most screens in the NFL but their total EPA on those is only 22nd in the NFL so they have not been very good at making them work well.

It's ***** like this that is making kids have so many neurosis.

Two features of modern day sports packages that I particularly despise are people who feel it's necessary to physically gesticulate and/or mime the action... and those who can't speak at a normal volume and think that by shouting, they're somehow more convincing.

This Jacksonville Jaguars game in London scares me because just when you think the Buffalo Bills got this they slip up. These are the types of games that scare me because the Buffalo Bills never make it easy for themselves in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

It’s a “snare” game. Can’t use that other word. Can’t use that other word.

Nah they stopped that a lot when Miami tried that.

While Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller has not yet returned to action this season, the eight-time Pro Bowler has been keeping tabs on what’s been happening across the league and sent out a strong message after watching the late hit on Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert in Week 4.

In the second quarter, Herbert faked a handoff and proceeded to rush the ball himself against the Las Vegas Raiders. Herbert scrambled toward the sideline and once he had one foot out of bounds, Raiders defensive tackle Jerry Tillery blasted him to the ground.

“He’s lucky he got out of there alive,” former Raiders right tackle Lincoln Kennedy said on the Las Vegas radio broadcast, per ESPN. The Chargers immediately cleared the bench in anger and Tillery was ejected from the game.

During the latest episode of Miller’s “The Voncast,” the 34-year-old threatened opponents who try to pull a similar dirty play on his QB1, Bills star Josh Allen. Miller said, “I tell you what, if somebody hit Josh Allen like that, I’m getting kicked out of the game. Not gonna let that fly, man.”

Those looking to defy the 6-foot-3, 250-pound, future Hall of Famer edge rusher, can do so at their own risk. One fan commented on Instagram, “Imagine being on the receiving end of that Von Miller smoke 😵,” while another person wrote, “Von aint one of these internet fake tough guys either, he means that s***.”

Miller called going after a quarterback like that “ridiculous,” and applauded Herbert’s teammates for immediately coming to his defense. “That’s what you’re supposed to do,” he said.

I should know this, and it's probably discussed on this very thread, but I'm too lazy:   how did the Jags get the draw of having 2 London game in a row?

Because no one likes Jacksonville in Florida, attendance sucks.  And the NFL wants global markets, and have been trying to force feed Jacksonville to London.

I predict Josh has a Josh game, and starts trending towards David Beckham and Michael Jordan world fandom

For all the people talking about the 2021 Jags game, remember that this is an entirely new coaching staff for Jacksonville with new schemes.

I know; we're fortunate they are not bringing back Urban for this game.

NFL Week 5 expert picks, odds for 49ers vs. Cowboys, Bills vs. Jaguars and every game

91% of staff picked BUF to win

The second of the NFL’s international games is slated for Sunday morning as the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Buffalo Bills in London. The UK fans will be treated to a matchup between two AFC teams on the shortlist of legitimate conference championship contenders.

The Jaguars will enter as nearly a touchdown underdog.

Jaguars-Bills is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The game will be televised on NFL Network.

There were plenty of concerns about the Bills as recently as a few weeks ago — some valid, and others perhaps a bit overreactionary. With three straight wins by more than 20 points, including a dominant showing in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins, it appears the Bills’ offense is back and their defense remains very good.

One concern lingers, however, which is the defense’s loss to star defensive back Tre’Davious White, who will reportedly miss the remainder of the season after tearing his Achilles in Week 4. Von Miller’s looming return could help alleviate some of the long-term sting.

The location of this Week 5 AFC matchup may be a big adjustment for the Bills, but the Jaguars are playing in London for a second consecutive week. Despite the familiarity advantage, it would be a minor surprise to see Jacksonville win.

Trevor Lawrence and his offensive weapons will likely need to click early and often to keep pace with a Buffalo offense led by the Josh Allen-Stefon Diggs connection that’s firing on all cylinders.

If we were playing at home, I'm sure many would call this a trap game.  But since we are playing in London, I can't help but think...

Bills offense chasing history behind Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs

espn/video/clip

espn.com bills-offense-chasing-history

Allen is now the favorite to win MVP, per Caesar’s Sportsbook (+400). after winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week in two of the past three weeks.

Allen's favorite receiver has once again been Stefon Diggs, who has 31 receptions for 399 yards and four touchdowns.

They'll look to keep it going in London when they face a Jacksonville Jaguars defense (9:30 a.m. ET, NFL Network) that ranks 22nd in passing yards per game allowed (238.3).

Allen has completed a league-high 74.8% of his passes and is coming off the first game of his career where he had a perfect passer rating (158.3). He has never finished a season with higher than a 69.2 completion percentage (2020).

The Diggs-Allen connection, which came under the microscope this offseason, was hot against the Dolphins with Diggs scoring three touchdowns. Only Eric Moulds (33) had more through the first four games of a season in team history

Allen, when asked on Wednesday if he’s surprised by anything Diggs does at this point, said, “It’s Stefon Diggs, man. He should’ve gotten Player of the Week. That’s all I’ll say.”

Bills Mafia are NFL’s craziest fanbase who leap onto flaming tables and they are ready to party hard in London

buffalo-bills-fans-cheer-second-84761840

The Buffalo Bills will invade London this week.

So will the Bills Mafia.

One of the NFL’s most passionate (and crazy) fanbases has turned a hashtag into a living and breathing football culture, leaping onto flaming tables, partying like there’s no tomorrow, and earning the respect of everyone from PGA star Rory McIlroy to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

“When you get home, pay those fans some f****** respect,” said Buffalo QB Josh Allen, after the Bills Mafia helped the team dig out of the snow in western New York to make it Detroit for a game against Cleveland in 2022. “Get 'em something nice. Treat 'em well. Because that was f****** awesome to see.”

That locker-room footage of Allen celebrating a tough victory was posted by the Bills’ official account and introduced with, “This win is for Bills Mafia,” highlighting the unique and unbreakable bond between the small-market franchise and its fiercely loyal fanbase.

For the Bills (3-1), Week 5 against the Jags inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday doubles as an international showcase and just another game during a season that will hopefully end up in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.

So you're comparing the average Joe businessman who may go on MANY road trips away from home, to NFL players who are doing this FOR THE FIRST TIME, and likely, the ONLY TIME (highly doubt they will make the same team do it again anytime soon). OK. 🙄

And btw, I personally have done many 2-week road trips over the years, and there are many variables which determine whether the trip is enjoyable or not. As I said in another post in this thread, it's definitely more likely to be enjoyable if you have your wife/SO with you, and I'm quite certain that most of the Jags have their SOs with them.

I've done a few 2 week plus trips to places I enjoy. After 4 days I'm ready to go home, first time, 10th time or the 20th time it never was enjoyable after a few days and never got any better. If my wife/SO was with me I would have been ready to go home on the flight there.

I'm surprised this isn't talked about more....

Why does the NFL stick these games so early on Sunday morning for North America?

London is 5 hours ahead,  so it could be a 6pm start in London to make it a 1pm game in the states.

Seems perfectly reasonable

A lot of people go to church on Sunday morning.
